Tesco misprice discussion area part 15

I finally found the Gaymers cider today. I had tried two larger stores in neighbouring towns to where I live but today I went to the smaller store which is only 10 mins from where I live and they actually stocked it and had 10 4-packs on the shelf with the 3 for £4 SEL. I took 9 of them to the checkout and paid for them and then went to CS to let them know that the multibuy hadn't kicked in!! The young lad at CS went off to check and came back to advise me that I would be refunded in full for all 9 packs and would get to keep the cider! I acted surprised. Whilst dealing with the refund my 14 month old daughter started waving at him and he informed me that at the checkouts they were giving out free advent calendars. I said we hadn't received one and he said he would go and get one for Bethany. He was gone about 5 minutes and a queue had built up behind me but he came back with a Winnie the Pooh calendar! So I got 36 free bottles of Gaymers cider and Bethany got a free calendar. :j

Lovely story but............you have named your daughter, and the r&r and i would assume that's a nice little pic of your daughter on your avator.

Manager: "We're offering you £23.xx as difference".

Something else in your post doesn't make sense. You were overcharged £2 per cd, of which you bought 7. That's an overcharge of £14. Why would they offer you £23.xx difference? Is there something more you haven't mentioned?

One more thing - please don't cross post. Your post in the Misprices thread shouldn't be there.

Proof positive that the decent & friendly CS staff are out there.

Can someone please explain what difficulties they have experienced when they have inadvertently made CS staff aware that they were aware of misprice before purchase.

Can't help you there, I'm afraid. I've never let on to CS staff that I knew beforehand, inadvertently or otherwise..

I hope you like Nelly Furtado, greedy and stupid is all I can say. The idea of buying multiples is ok if it is somthing you would normally buy in multiples like 6 bottles of wine 6 tins of beans but 7 of the same CD I didnt think anyone would be that daft to buy 7 of the same CD.:rotfl:

2 maybe 3 if your pushing it, yeah 1 for the car 1 for the house and another as a gift but 7. I cant belive there is anyone else in the world other than Nelly Furtado's mum would buy so many coppies of her CD. I also think you will find it hard to return so many coppies of the CD I know if I was on CS and someone came with 7 of the same CD I would start asking questions a recipt will help your quest but it just looks so suspect buying so many of the same CD.

OK Sorry but have to agree with other posters - this is just plain greed :mad: :mad:

i have had many r & r's from this store including two - yes two - mobile phones last year and have always been dealt with a smile and an apology so i'm sorry but IMO you deserve all you get - nothing - sorry if this sounds harsh but if next time i'm in and am refused my r & r i know why!!!
