    Congratulations :D

You eyesight is in excellent condition to spot the 2 for £16 sign
Just a shame your tastebuds aren't in the same condition (Fosters  ;) )

Its not usually my tipple of choice.. honest!

Been kicking myself ever since that I never checked if Stella was on the list... Oh well, no harm having a bit of 'cooking lager' in for all the crimbo visitors ;)
  • i told the cs it was very misleading but she said they were covered as the other poster was there as well........she sternly said, well we let you have 6 bottles of champagne last week...be happy with that, don't really know where to go now, should i ring customer services and argue my case.....what do you all think......(on the very bottom of the sign £20 off when purchased with £20 groceries there is in small writing "subject to terms and conditions" and the large A4 poster apparently was the terms and conditions and it clearly stated that £20 off only related to purchasing £20 airtime.............she was a right old battleaxe and clearly remembers me...

In regards to the Mobile phones, I did one yesterday, just spoke to CS @ HO, after confirming with the store, they agreed it was an overcharge, however, becuase I didnt spend it on groceries, I forfeit the R&R becuase apparently in the terms and conditions, its says £40 must be spent on groceries, can anyone confirm if this is true? The sign I saw just said spend £40 instore.

Ok! Have I had an adventure today or what?

Went to a Tesco Extra close to work. Sure enough, W810i phone with incorrect price label. Bought it, waited like 15 minutes for someone to bring the phone down, go to customer services. Speak to a woman who tries to find a manager.

When the manager comes, we go to the mobile phones. The label had gone! I never took a picture of it or anything and the woman was just like..."show me...".

When I explained she said theres nothing she can do. I asked if she would go out the back and re-print another to show me the price. She sent this idiot out the back, he returned with a standard label saying "£169.97" not the £40 in-store spend discount details.

No R&R, so I asked for a full refund.

What can I do about this. The label was definately there, but someone must have taken it down between the time I was paying, waiting for the phone and at CS.

 never heard this one before, if it was only on a grocery spend then surely it should state spend £40.00 on food items only  tbh it states instore no i read that as i can buy a £40.00 tv and expect to get the promotion on the phone.

    Does that make sense lol

    EDIT: wrong promotion t&c's
I made a mistake once, believeing people on the internet were my virtual friends. It won't be a mistake that I make again!

On the Tesco website:The Small Print...
† Tesco Mobile airtime and phone combined purchase discount - terms and conditions
Offer valid when you buy eligible phone and the required amount of airtime within one transaction. Offer amount will be deducted at the checkout. Excludes the Motorola Red SLVR handset which is SIM free and network unlocked. Valid until 7th January and cannot be combined with any other offer or promotion. Any phone must be returned with the airtime voucher unopened & unused or the full value of the airtime will be deducted from the normal refund amount paid to the customer. This does not affect your statutory rights. Offer is subject to availability and while stocks last. Offer ends 07.01.2007.

I dont think that terms and conditions applies in this case becuase it wasn't wasn't an airtime inssue, it said spend £40 instore for discount, it did says leaflet has terms & conditions, I thinkill pop along and ask them to show me t&c. Apparently the store has final say and they have spoken. Weird thing is, when the CS guy called back, he told me they are expecting me and acknowledged it was an overcharge, why would they expect me if they are not going to R&R me?

LOL My first attempt and it seems like it may have failed...

I got myself a pebl in a nice flame pink spend £20.00 in store was the yellow sel with an asterix * to say airtime in tesco smallest font - I specially bought some extra stuff to qualify for the deal (I said) cs offered me the £20 and I said thanks
    - as she went in the till for the cash I said if you are giving me my £20 you must agree I was over charged - so why does that (pointing at the sign) if things dont add up thing apply?
But you havent really been overcharged its just a mistake on the price ticket.
Oh ok, (looking back at the sign) isnt it when you make a mistake that that applies then?
fetches manager - R&R but had to leave name and address - dont like leaving my name thing...
MY niece will be happy this Christmas...
