How did you ever manage that. If Sainsburys had a similiar policy to tesco's I'd would have had refunds every visit (even without going looking!)

I think they did once! and i think you got double the difference!
    Oh look a bunny!
  • I am a RnRer and a regular Tesco shopper. I normally do my weekly shopping in the local tesco and try to leave RnRing to other stores ( but do have a look if the "offers" are available...its an addiction I cant get out of lol). On a few occasions that I have not gone for an RnR I have got home checked the receipt and have been overcharged quite innocently!..to the tune of about £3 last week. Now if all customers at my local store where overcharged this adds to quite some profit in one day to add to the billions. I have said this in the past, that until Mr T gets his prices he advertises right then I will sometimes take advantage of his "in the inlikely event" policy and will also encourage my friends, family ( and of course fellow MSEs) to GO FILL YOUR TROLLEYS.

Waiting for a big one TT xx
    £900 towards next holiday...ta very much Mr T x

I'm in the middle of wrapping Xmas presents and for some reason many of them appear in a thread on MSE (Tesco misprices thread):D

Many thanks to Mr T for a bumper Xmas and more importantly to those who post misprices. I've also had many bargains from tips on MSE its really helped this year.

    Just a small one!
Got 3 packs of 4 soft loo roll (white) SEL £1.00 charged £1.54.
CS lady very politely told me I got ALL my money back and got to keep the loo roll!!! I did the usual 'Really??? Gosh I never knew that!!'

    Why tell lies????

What's wrong with a simple thank you.

    Hey Kronen

No No, you were right and I was straight out tonight and got 3 of the little blighters, so well done mate, just a shame every Tesco store will be notified of it via host.

    re the Motorola Pebl's

3pm Saturday and they're still around.............although the wording on the POS, and the capability of the managers have a lot to do as to whether you get your RandRs..

Stella and Fosters 2 for £16 still out there.
    Couponing....."every little hurts"

  • Wayhey, just got my first R&R! Futurama Season 1 - they had several copies but only one with the '£19.xx' sticker on it. Picked that one and it scanned (as SEL said) at £22.xx. Customer service gave full refund without prompting and handed it to me with a smile :)

This was at one of their new homeware stores - huge electrical department, I'm sure there must be a fair few ripe for the picking in there. Saw a number of camcorders and cameras with yellow SELs expiring on (I think) the 26th December, so some possibilities there...

No mobile phone deals that I could see though - signs very clearly stated 20 quid off when bought with 20 quid of airtime.
    Why tell lies????

What's wrong with a simple thank you.
Some people aren't so good with confrontation - by pretending you don't know the rules entirely, you're less likely to annoy the CS assistant by appearing to be playing the system. So I can see the appeal. And who does it hurt?
  • Thought i'd successfully purchased 2 phones today pebl and benq phones, both had signs on saying £20 off when purchased with £20 groceries, discount did'nt come off, so off i wen to customer service who agreed with me that it was an overcharge, but whilst standing in front of the phone stand she saw an A4 poster saying £20 off when bought with £20 of airtime, and because of this sign she would not R+R.........spoke to manager and he agreed that it was clearly signed..........oh well, going to try another tescos tomorrow...........you win some you lose some......all adds to the fun of it.....
  • woodstoke - it doesn't matter how many correct posters they conjur up. one wrong one and you should have got the R&R.

Not sure if I understood you corrrectly, but if you saw one sign that said £20 off with £20 spend and CS pointed to *another* sign that said £20 off with £20 airtime spend, I'd take them back to the sign you saw (cos you didn't see the other one, did you..) and argue your point.

That's no different to the 2 for £16 stella r&r - there was a sea of correct 2 for £16 posters in my store yesterday, the CSA went up to one, said stella isn't in the offer so I took her to the poster I saw.

You could try going back, but i don't suppose the poster you saw is still there.

But you saw the one for the £20 grocery spend and bought it because of that reason if that sign was up you should have been given an rnr it was misleading advertising! They have cleverly got out of "their" mistake.
