    Well I almost made it!
Saw some turkey strips priced at 2.7x, SEL said 2.46 or 2 for £4 so I just picked up the one.
My heart was pounding as it went through the checkout....
at the lower price of 2.46, I was almost gutted. Had worked myself all up ready for action and it all came to nothing.
I think my local store are pretty hot, that was the only thing I'd spotted with a diff price label on (and believe me I was looking long and hard).

Oh there is one thing... I picked up something for my 7 yr old niece that didnt have any price indicated anywhere so I asked an assistant. She went and did a price check and I'm 100% sure she told me it was 3.49, checking my receipt last night it went through at 3.98, as there was no SEL what can I do?

sorry but shold have chexked on leaving you could have clarified it withthe sa there and then
i dont know whether she scanned it or gave you the wrong price
    strange one
  • It seems that several of you are struggling to get your first R+R on anything decent. I would strongly suggest you take a walk down the DVD aisle as I have now been into 5 different TESCO stores and in every single one I have found at least one DVD incorrectly priced (mostly big boxed sets too - if you don't want them sell em on Ebay) Look for the older DVD's which have TESCO stickers on them and check them against the shelf price. If the shelf price is MORE expensive than the sticker check it with the in-store scanner and hopefully you'll get lucky.

Once you've had a couple of expensive DVD's refunded you will also build up the confidence to get anything else too - I'm going in for a phone today and have absolutely no problem with this...I am amazed at how many people are being over-charged on a regular basis. I am just surprised that Sainsburys (who always seemed to overcharge me) and ASDA don't have similar policies in place....

    Have fun!;)

I was curious to know what reams of stuff they hold about us via our clubcard, after reading the scotsman article mentioned in another thread.
Sorry if this is in the wrong place, wasnt sure where to put it.
I believe it costs £10 or so, thought someone may have been curious.
I Did it once years ago from my then employer (not tesco).
Anyone else curious? (But too broke to spend a tenner)

i think it was taxiphil who reported back he had done this on misprice discussion board 13 or 14 - do a search and you should find it
  • I want the Stella 2 for £16

There's a stack of boxes of Stella not near the alcohol section with an old poster on it (not a SEL) saying it's 2 for £16 and giving an expiry date of 11 December.

Does this still qualify for R&R?

(I phoned Tesco HQ to ask if I could take advantage of the offer even though it was out of date but was told I would need to ask at the store because it wouldn't scan...)

    Thanks from a thirsty MSEr.

all you can do is try it. i have had stroppy cs who point out that the policy only relates to prices on the product or shelf and that posters are not included - ho have backed them up when i have called.
on the other hand there are many fine people working for tesco that would give r+r no problem
    good luck

i managed a digilogic tv the other day. full r+r no issues except the cs woman marked the receipt as overcharged, and also scribbled through the barcode at the bottom of the receipt which she said was the guarantee. she told me that as i had been refunded i didn't have any warranty as i ahdn't paid for it. in my eyes i should still be able to take it back under my statuatory rights if it breaks. can anyone confirm this???

yes it is still covered under the statuatory rights and this was confirmed by a duty manager one time any problems and contact dundee
  • No joke - I thought that if Tesco HQ said they honour posters, even if there's an 'offer ends' date, then I could argue R&R at my local store.

    (I didn't tell Tesco HQ that I wanted R&R).

So any thoughts - if the poster is there but has an offer ends date, can I use it to claim R&R?

    Thanks
