Has anyone else noticed that there is quite alot in difference between how different tesco stores handle the standard refunds of games/DVD/CDs. One store I went too were asking if it a game was a present and that I would have six weeks to exchange it for another game, if they had two of the same and marked my receipt to say so. This was an unsealed game too.

Another store has signs up everywhere saying they will only exchange faulty items for the same item within 28 days with a receipt. Many of the DVDs and Games are still sealed in the secure case too. Surely there is no reason why these can't be refunded.

This does not effect standard R&R just potential golden ones.

the way i see wlfc 1's post is - dont post your misprices on here for everyone to see, email them to me me me and i will forward them to my very bestest friends so that only us can have them.
i appreciate that tescos are using this site to correct prices, but it is an OPEN FORUM!!!

Sorry but the way I see wlfc1's post is more "Share your misprices with US and WE will share ours with you"

I really dont think wlfc1 is trying to be selfish at all, far from it in fact!

I realise this is an open forum, and thats a great thing! Its also the worst thing about it, as, if you have been reading, Tesco staff are using it to put a feather in their cap, do some brown nosing and make life difficult for R&Rers!
    Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently! ;)
  • Wow, can I join this "elite" little clique too?

    Oh wait, I'd rather not...

  • Keep it public and keep it honest I say. This is open, manageable and assessable. We are a large group that work together.

How long does it take you to get to Dundee on a morning Mr Kelly?
We took on Mr T and we won:D

Shame it had to end, will have to get free stuff from comps now
  • If you want to return cds and they say blah blah electrical only do exchange for same product.

POint to the signs and back of reciepts which have the 28day change your mind policy on any product.
They key is not to say it is faulty but that you have changed your mind as per their policy!

Hmmmm..... this raises an interesting thing. TESCO seem to be storing data AND opinions on computer which falls neatly into the domain of the Data Protection Act.

"The Data Protection Act 1998 gives you the right to see the personal information held about you by businesses and organisations in the public and private sectors. This is known as the right of 'subject access'.
You also have a right to have inaccurate data corrected, destroyed, blocked or erased, and to seek compensation for any damage or distress caused to you by such inaccuracy. " © Crown Copyright

This storage of data also includes emails too.

Interesting for those banned by TESCO

first time r + r and I had a field day, 3 different stores, got me a the digivision tv, 24 bottles of gaymers, 2 cases of fosters, 2 cases of stella.

Just as a tip and I didn't have the grapefruits to do this one, but if all the 2 for £16 signs have been taken down on the fosters and stella deal, look below the smirnoff ice cases which are on offer for 2 for £16, they still had these signs up, the sign itself was tiny and the writing was even smaller, small enough that you could only just read it up close, however it did clearly state that stella and fosters were still included in the 2 for £16. I didn't do it myself, because I was more than happy with what I got and I think they would have remembered me to clearly. But its there for the taking if someone wants it!!!

Did this the other day as there was a 2 for £16 under the Grolsh cases but the label said includes stella in the list of brands.

The Grolsh was still working at 2 for £16 but the stella was going for 3 for £20.

Pointed the CSA to the sign under the Grolsh and got RnR
  • 306notout, i dont understand your post above? Not to worry though.

  • OMG you guys can we not actually see what's gonna happen here?

Already those of us that r&r are fighting amongst ourselves with regards to what we all think about the idea that was posted last night.

It's seems some want to go underground and keep the mis prices amongst certain other posters, and others want it posted in the open.

Either way TE has rattled all our cages in one way or another :T

But let's be honest here how many other store employees, managers etc lurk about on this site for mis prices in their shop  unlike TE they are quiet happy to sit there and not say a single word, they can note everything down without anyone of us knowing any different. The only difference here is that TE enjoys the thought of trying to get one over on us.

Before anyone shoots me down :rotfl: i ain't in the secret club!

Just my views on the situation.
I made a mistake once, believeing people on the internet were my virtual friends. It won't be a mistake that I make again!
