Yes they could but stand your ground, be calm and polite at all times and you get the right result in the end.I made a mistake once, believeing people on the internet were my virtual friends. It won't be a mistake that I make again!0 -

TescoEmployee wrote:It depends on the store and Tesco do not have a 'stance' on it - I base my descisions on the 'facts' im faced with for example when a customer over a 2 week period had something like 17 r+r's whilst boasting he got the information from this site. The result of this was the customer was banned, Information sent to H/O, Customer description sent to local stores and in-store security.
Hmmmm..... this raises an interesting thing. TESCO seem to be storing data AND opinions on computer which falls neatly into the domain of the Data Protection Act.
"The Data Protection Act 1998 gives you the right to see the personal information held about you by businesses and organisations in the public and private sectors. This is known as the right of 'subject access'.
You also have a right to have inaccurate data corrected, destroyed, blocked or erased, and to seek compensation for any damage or distress caused to you by such inaccuracy. " © Crown Copyright
This storage of data also includes emails too.
Interesting for those banned by TESCO0 -

do you just put these items in with ur main shop then R&R? Or do them seperately? Just thought if I bought only 10 things, all R&R I would look super dodgy, but I dont want to miss out on my points from main shop!I'm getting older, and lifes getting harder!:mad:0

myk wrote:hi all..a question...I saw a few dvds that had stickers on them that were higher than the sel. if they scan at the sticker price can I claim an overcharge or will they fob me off with "its not an overcharge because it scanned at the price on the sticker"

Don't think your Qs have been answered fully yet.....
Yes you can claim an O/C because the policy relates to the price being lower 'on the shelf OR the product'.
Yes they will probably try to fob you off, be ready for that and go with them to show them the SEL (even if they say you don't have to....you should).
But you don't always get fobbed off, my most recent R&R on 40 bottles of Stella was one of the easiest yet:
'These are 2 for £16 on the sign....' says I
'Yes they are aren't they' says the CS without even going to check (she must have known but not allowed to remove SEL herself I suppose). 'You will get your lager free now, here's your full refund' she added with a smile!!
Off I went within a minute of getting to the CS desk!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

myk wrote:u shure it an overcharge tho............the DVD has the higher price on it
 Example 1 DVD has a sticker on it say £14.97, the SEL states £9.97 if the DVD scans at £14.97 well then yes it's an overcharge.I made a mistake once, believeing people on the internet were my virtual friends. It won't be a mistake that I make again!0
