Surely you don't get fined in a supermarket carpark
Not much I could do. On checking the signs had changed to say 2 hours max free. I just hadn't read them!0 -

About 2hrs 20mins! (not all in supermarket, had wandered down the town as well )
Its a handy carpark for the main town as well as supermarket hence its ripe for this sort of thing !0 -
What Hermann says is correct, anyone can request the of a car registration. The DVLA request a reason before giving the info out but owners of carparks, clamping companies, insurance companies and petrol stations can all request the info legally as tesco usually has a restriction of 3 hours on their carparks then anyone over staying those 3 hours can be fined so Tesco need the owners details.
The bit that is questionable is tesco requesting the info for a car that hasnt commited the offence but Tesco subscribe to the service so they can use it unfortunatly. I dont think tesco use ANPR all the stores I have visited I have never seen any cameras/sensors but I do know that the cctv systems they use are spot on so they could get your reg using that.
I got pulled the other week with the police using an out of date database, pain in the !!!! it was and customs checked my tank for red diesel, I only got the car 4 weeks befor eI hope the previous owner hadnt used it. LOL
Ohh and cheapy, 3 stars means jack I have 3 and im thick0 -

Welcome to the Tesco insomniacs club, we talk about all sorts of !!!!!! during the night while most normal people sleep except plush chris who works. It stops the boredom setting in with all the night time quiz shows on tv now. We have Duets on bbc 1 to watch tonight, I'm stuffed I need a new digibox as mine blew up last night while I was messing around with the 360.
I think the more stars people have they spend too much time posting on here. I'm amazed I have managed to get a few r+r's and post 1514 times0 -
Hi all - I've been referred to as a dark horse - fair enough. I've just been building up my bottle with the R&Rs and decided from a strategy point of view that low value items are not worth the bother.
I'm a little conspicuous by appearance, so to keep a low profile, I haven't posted in case Tesco employees are able to identify me from my posts.
somebody asked what the 1p overcharge was for - it is a Epson printer
SEL expired 5/12/06 = £69-96, scans at £69-97. lets call that my first contribution as a potential R&R find. I have a feeling that I will not get any success with it though....If anyone else gets any joy with this item , please let me know.
I'm going to try for the Stella on the way home from work!!!0 -
Burnley tesco carpark is often full up with peoples cars that are not shopping in the store. A couple of weeks or so ago I saw a new sign had gone up warning of a new two hour limit and numberplate reading cameras0

I did see a shopper with two heads routing through the beef joints the other day... was that you?0 -
First try at spotting anything at my local store, saw an expired SEL for a Sony RDRHX525 DVD Recorder with Hard Drive for £249.xx, expired 6/12/2006, previous price £279.xx
Didn't pursue it though, maybe someone with demolition balls of steel would like to give it a go0
