Pity the trousers didn't fit. Not sure if you're the same, but since doing the wardrobe change I'm far fussier about what clothes I buy, they have to be just right now, not just OK.

Which 'retail outlet' is it? We travel a lot, so I look out for ones to drop into when going nearby, so another to add to the list would be good.

I can confirm that Cheshire Oaks generally has some really good bargains, but would you believe that for the last year I have worked only a mile away and the only time I've been there was when I met DT for coffee!

I fully understand about the fit - especially for trousers. If they fit OK on the waist, they are baggy on the hips; if they fit on the hips, they are tight on the legs, or else big on the waist. But when you are at the bargain end of the spectrum, you can get all the variety of fit, from exactly the same style in exactly the same shop :D

I never used to bother going except for the teenagers as I never used to find anything for me - but things have changed so its a good job I don't work a mile away :D

Don't want to encourage you to spend but you do want to update your wardrobe so ......................

I'm beginning to realise that I do need to get stuff, I can't really carry on with trousers that cost a fiver from George.

Well I am really pi**ed off

why do I own a property abroad it is nothing but hassle.

We have a Spanish bank account so that we can pay the dd for electricity, monthly telephone, once a year rates and once a year insurance (yes that bl**dy insurance that was worthless).

The telephone is a fixed DD so no problem, the insurance and rates is once a year so I make sure I transfer enough to cover them but the electricity is a nightmare we don't get bills nobody does they just take money as and when they feel like it at one stage they didnt take any for 6 months and then they were in the habit of taking a large amount one month and a small amount the next month (I think because they only read the meter every 2 months) and because it is let we can never be sure what the amount is likely to be

Today we have had a bank statement it is dated 29th April but only received to day the upshot is telephone went out on 1st April as usual but two large electricity payments went out this month on the 4th and 6th leaving just over 20 euros in the account as opposed to over 500 so there would not be enough to cover the telephone due on 1st May which will have bounced so will probably be cut off and goodness knows if the electricity have tried to take another payment if so if past experience is anything to go by they will wait another 6 months and after taking subsequent payments on time without any hassle but not resubmitting the bounced payment they will suddenly without warning cut us off

I know this seems a shambolic way of dealing with stuff and I have tried without success to get online accounts but this is how they work out there and of course we will be charged by the bank too

One minute I really want to sell the place although at the moment that would be madness as there are so many properties up for sale on the other hand when we are actually able to get out there I love it and it is an asset without a mortgage that we have should things really go t**s up

Things must be bad OH has just handed me a cappuccino and chocolate without me asking :D he knows me so well :rotfl:

Was feeling fed up anyway as not able to move forward on the job front until I get my CV sorted and that is not until the 31st not long but still frustrating - so resulting in a CBA attitude to everything resulting in my spending too much time on here reading diaries and I am reading the wrong ones as they all seem to be about things going badly wrong or grindingly slowly normally I find diaries uplifting but these are really depressing

Sorry now I realise mine is depressing too :o it's catching

Going to fit in one of my long soaks in the bath by hook or by crook to get my head sorted :(

Sorry you're down DT - hope the bubbles worked. Thanks for raising the idea of a soak, a GRRRRRRRRRRR day here too, a soak was just what I needed and worked wonders.
