I think it's fair to say GhA, that this debt busting can become a little obsessive and sometimes we obviously all need to step away from the MSE forum before we get sectioned

You are all so wonderful you have made me laugh so much and I am really jealous of your dreamboard GA
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I have had the bestest news tonight the little girl who went for adoption 15 months ago is coming to see us with her adoptive mother next week I have hoped for this for so long and I am over the moon - words can't describe how I feel although I know that it is also going to be quite difficult and just pray that it goes well and that it is the first meeting of many :happyhear

It's always good to know we're not all mad on our own! I know my 'real' life doesn't involve talking about a lot of the things that are 'normal' in my 'virtual' life! I tried running the flylady thing past a few friends recently...I could tell from their reaction that I most definitely wouldn't be able to share the whole colour coded shopping list thing without them calling adult mental health :rotfl:
What lovely, lovely news about your previous foster child coming to visit. I'm sure it will be emotional but hopefully positive at the same time :AOne step at a time

My virtual friends have added a whole new depth to my life (is that sad?) probably but I don't have many close friends in the real world that I can share things with and it is such a relief to be able to share these things and it has really helped me through some tough times. I also feel that I know some of you so much better than my real friends and I have to say those of you that I have met in real life have always lived up to if not exceeded my expectations - OK soppy talk over but I do really love you xx

Awwww we all love you too! I must admit I look forward to reading the few threads that I'm subscribed too. Some, like yours, feel very 'homely'. I learn so much and find the lives of others so intriguing. It's also a little company for sad singletons like myself
The best of a virtual world is that you only have to talk to the people you like

I can only agree with that DT, like you - I don't really have any "real life" friends to call on. I've just not seemed to be able to make any nice new ones here yet (and it's been nearly 4 years :eek:)It's always good to know we're not all mad on our own! Oooo a jigsaw....now I like the sound of that... :rotfl: Funny enough I've used home made jigsaws as rewards with children. It's based on the principle of a puzzle piece for each good behaviour with the rewar being completion of the pic of a Fave tv character (just an example) Now David Beckham appearing on my fridge might just work for me

I **love** the idea of a dreamboard! And let me tell you, when I was working 13 or 14 hours a day to pay the debt off, I had the coloured squares chart, and I had a listing of every single piece of money I saved from a bill or earned from extra work, whether it was an Amazon sale, an ebay sale, mystery shopping, surveys, bingo, matched betting, a focus group, the odd competition, freebies, bogofs, vouchers, anything and everything. You carry on with what you're doing!GreyhoundAngel wrote: »I can only agree with that DT, like you - I don't really have any "real life" friends to call on. Its difficult to make friends in a new place - I do want to, but finding the energy is horrendously difficult....
Loving talking to the dogs and the hm jigsaw, I'm very impressed :kisses3:2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Hello DT
have been frantically catching up. Brilliant news about the little girl coming on a visit. I know you hoped for this at the beginning.
I love everyones plans for colour coded lists, and have looked with envy when people did coloured boxes etc. but I always forget to keep them updated. So very envious GA of your jigsaw, but I get fed up.
Take care of you DT.
