    On coffee break

Yesterday went really well on the job front and I got a lot done :j

Today I am suffering with a bad shoulder  which I think I got from being too enthusiastic with the Amens in the children's service on Sunday we have a special way of doing Amen the problem is that this is affecting my typing practice. I have also come across a problem with that too as on lesson 9 the keys don't correspond with my keyboard and I don't want to get the wrong keys in my head so I am trying to find a different programme to use where I can customise the keyboard but so far have not found one as good as the one I was using so that is the next task after coffee.

Also have a video to watch about interview techniques.

I did find one possible job when searching yesterday so have sent the details off to my recruitment coach to see what he thinks and how I should go about it.

Have also amended my draft CV.

On shop duty in the Cathedral this afternoon so won't get much done then but at least it will give my shoulder a rest.

Kids still doing their reading lessons and I had my first coaching call with regard to that yesterday and all is good so far.

Sports day has been postponed until tomorrow as its raining I am hoping it is postponed again as I have fostering panel tomorrow and I will have to miss the races I have done the preparation for the panel so that's another job done.

So all in all I am pretty pleased with myself.

Also sent out invites to the Kids' party which I made last night and I am really pleased with them. Haven't done any toy shopping yet so will have to make time for that.

Right off to finish coffee and carry on.

    Have a good day

Shoulder a bit better today spent the evening leaning against a hot water bottle which helped.

Mega busy day yesterday did lots of job stuff in the morning watched 9 out of 13 videos about interview techniques and picked up some good stuff :D.

Cathedral shop in the afternoon which is usually quiet on a Tuesday as they have a service in the morning and most people come into the shop then so I took a couple of law books along to study. Of course I was mega busy as there was a concert on in the evening and the choir from America arrived just after I did and swarmed around the shop spending lots of dosh :j

Picked up some plastic cups for the children's leaving service in church this morning and had a phone call from OD to say could she come for tea so went and collected her got home and did the kids' reading lessons new prize in the post today they were very pleased and I was very impressed with the quality.

Best part of the day three hunky firemen knocking on the door to check our fire alarms and fire escape routes :D:D:D:D they were happy with our plans and fitted three brand new lithium battery fire alarms so I no longer have to buy batteries for the alarms so very :money: too and if I have any problems I have their number (if only I could think of a problem :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)

Right got to go children's service calling

Please do I haven't come up with a cunning plan .........................yet :rotfl::rotfl:

Panel was cancelled last minute so managed to get to sports day :D and they did well although my little boy in the spider race was more like a crab as he spent most of the time going sideways still managed to come second though :T:T

Service was good this morning too.

Done a bit more typing and I am going to apply for a job tomorrow :D

Shoulder got worse again over the day so back to the hot water bottle :(

  • I wish our sports day contained races . The head hasn't yet realised that you do need to have a 1st, 2nd and 3rd to have the incentive to go out and win.

There were some firemen around where I as yesterday but none would have made my 2012 calendar :(. They must be a different breed where you come from!

Good luck with the job application. Congrats to little DS. I well remember school sports from the days when they were all 'non competitive' - no wonder we sometimes struggle to compete at international level.
