morning all :hello:
I didn't sleep well last night so no flying done this morning before work, Shelled ones all fed.
I have a feeling that not much will be done at lunch time, but then I did dust on Wednesday.
DH has appointments all day tomorrow, so with him out of the way, I can fly
so saturday
Clean floors downstairs - must
Clean kitchen storage containers
take all turtle stuff out to turtle shed
make space for tank in shed and when DH available move it
water both greenhouses and tidy old greenhouse, get trays ready for more seeds.
That should be enough
Today, do what ever needs doing urgentlySue
Do I need to eat it
Can I afford the calories:eek:
have I checked for a lower calorie version:T0 -
Am feeling like a very horrible person as well, OH told me last night he wants to quit his (very well paid) job and go self employed. He has good prospects for regular bits here and there, but I'm feeling totally unsupportive. I'm very paranoid about our financial security, and this just knocked me for 6. I know he hates it, I earn a reasonable wage (not enough to cover all the bills, but most), but I don't think we would qualify for any benefits to tide us over the initial hump. We have some savings, and OH wants to sell his car, pay off the finance and buy a cheap runaround with what's left so we will have minimal debt.
I'm just being a moody cow as this makes me very nervous. And I feel crap as well
Sorry for moaning, off to do last nights washing up if it is the only thing I get done all day!
Have a hug, don't beat yourself up you are feeling rough and hubbie wants to take you out of your comfort zone. You are not a horrible person. DH was made redundant when we got back from honeymoon and ended up self employed for years. It worked out well and he enjoyed it. There is more to life than the security but it is hard when that is against your beleifs. PM me if you need to chat it throughgratefulforhelp wrote: »I resemble that remark! set your kitchen pinger for 15 min, walk 5 min to the place where the kettle is-make coffee-drink it while talking to 5 different people about 5 different things that have to be done NOW-dash to loo and queue for 5 mins as there are 2 loos for 60 females-wash up mug-walk 5 min back to classroom
has the pinger gone yet?! Which thing would you decide not to do??
I agree with you here. Our head has it so that there kitchen bring in tea, coffe and cookies made on site for the staff and they just help themselves and pop the cups back on the trolley. The staff need that short break to catch up.
Plan for today is dailies and then gardening. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Morning all.
Not much done last night except laundry as I felt really tired again
I really need to catch up this weekend!
Just to top it off though I need to take DD for school shoes again this weekend after only 8 weeks  No idea what she does to them but they're wrecked:mad:skintscotslass wrote: »Oh and teachers! I always wondered why we had so many on the thread. Based on the staff room at the school today...eurgh messy beggars! I ended up cleaning the sink it was sooooo manky and disgusting. I know this well. Two weeks running now I've cleaned the staffroom during some free time while the kids have been in assembly and other TAs are in meetings (being voluntary I don't attend the meetings). I've found its the staff who use it before/after school who seem to leave the most dishes in the sink. Last week I went in just before break to return some dishes that had been used by a class. The sink was full of mugs, cutlery & someones plate with dried on lettuce  I wouldn't mind so much if it wasn't for the fact there is a dishwasher right next to the sink! So I washed up, dried the dishes, emptied the dishwasher, wiped down the sides, made a coffee and didn't feel at all bad about sitting down and having my break almost as soon as the bell went :rotfl: Oh, and as well as a dishwasher there is also a dinnerlady who gets paid overtime to wash up etc in the staffroom after lunch! Could I just point out here though that I do wash my own dishes, or in the case of my cutlery at lunch time I put them into the dishwasher - I buy readymade salads & eat them out the tub to save time/dishes
This week (bold = urgent!) :
Colour my hair!
Ironing until its gone!

morning everyone
we still have gentle rain so the ground is soaking it up fast. Its not cold either.
ab7167 its understandable for you to feel worried about the financial side of things - you need to explain to hubby how you feel - if he thinks you are not supporting his enterprise then it wont help him be confident about it either. IMHO you both need to sit down and do a budget based on the worst possible scenario and see what it looks like. Could he not do both things for a little while?
PenPen :jhow lovely to see you angel - glad things are busy with you and WTG with the loft and garage - well done:T
Vanilla Happy Birthday Rhys - is it really 2 years - I can remember you being pregnant! Could you take Rhys in to see his daddy and so that he can share in his birthday too? Hope you are being a little less stressed while hubby is being looked after.

We are having them replaced with wooden, individual panes, double glazed. Being handmade locally by somebody we know. For years we have wanted to keep them and we started having them renovated last summer but in places the metal has rusted right through, numerous panes broke during the process, they are 85 years old and sadly at the end of their life. Hoping that the really expensive replacements look ok.
When we bought our (Victorian) house, the previous occupants had removed the sash windows and replaced with totally inappropriate, wrong style, uPVC ones. We had ours replaced by stylish hardwood sliding sash windows by a local carpenter, and they are beautiful. We also designed a stained glass sash window for a tall hallway window at the back - expensive but sooooooo worth it
I'm going to have HHC just doing general tidying, then I will see what I can get off the list
May I join you
I need a quick tidy round, then i'm baking for my friends to come for tea and cake this afternoon, including one frined who has just returned after several years living abroad :T :rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
Managed to get the front door unlocked and open.....:j:j:j:j mind you we can't close it....:rotfl: gonna wait until later and FIL is gonna give me a hand changing the middle strip thing. You can tell i know what i'm on about..:rotfl:
Toots i'm not sure yet about taking Rhys up, hubby still in a very bad way and he now has a fat lip. I phoned hospital this morning and he was still sleeping. Doctors are to see him today and i hope they don't decide to send him home or i will scream and throw a hissy fit.
Still waiting on Mr T to arrive, suppose i should make a start today with sorting the front hall. It been the dumping ground again..:oSometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -
Windows - the previous owners of our house removed the double bay windows upstairs and replaced them with hideous plastic sashes.
When we can afford it we plan to put the wooden bay windows back, if it is possible.
WM on, baby fed, nappy changed x a million, DD1 decluttered to school, dog walked. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Vanilla be very firm with the hospital and say that he can not come home yet that you are not able to look after him - they cant't force you! If he is still in a bad way then lets hope they keep him another week - well done with the door I think!!!! was it swollen with damp weather and the sun has dried it out and shrunk it back? sounds like it needs a shaving off - hope FiL can sort it.
Dietician just phoned to apologise that she has got delayed - its not like her so I knew something had happened so she is coming on monday now which is fine and I might have even reached my target by then!!
ok off to knit for HH then it will be coff time.

I refuse to do DD's room, so I shall practice bass (playing Atomic for those who remember Blondie
) and then trundle off to the old stomping ground for a quick look at the charity shops and then the GP, as they won't do repeat prescriptions without seeing people at least 4 times for the same thing (I think it cuts down on the wasted medications). By the time I have filled the prescription, it'll be time for DD to be out of school and my peace and quiet shall be shattered for another couple of days
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll
