Problems with visual

That's what I mean, so it's an avi file.

- Download and install VLC player.
- Reboot PC.
- Plug the USB cable into the camera, then close any programs that open
- Open My Computer.
- A new drive should be added to My Computer, i.e. you already have Local Disk C:\ and probably a cd drive e.g. \
- See if there are any files listed in there e.g. mpeg1.avi
- If there is one, right click on it, go to "Open with" and then select VLC player

Is it normal for the Vlc player download to go on about security? ie it says file download -security warning -run, save etc when I try to download?

Yes it is normal, it's just IE warning you the file might be a security risk. It will probably happen on any file you try to download. The file is from VLC's own site.

Keep us informed when you haven't got your hands full (I hate to think of what)

The codec that you need is here; http://www.koepi.org/XviD-1.1.2-01112006.exe Download and install it. You don't really need the Nimo Pack.

Before you do that, I recommend that you download and install Mediainfo; http://mediainfo.sourceforge.net/en

Once installed, you can simply 'right click' on the video file, select Mediainfo. It will tell you exactly which codecs that you need and where to get them.

The options that you are offered; 'Run' and 'Save' pertain to whether you wish the program to install itself to your computer immediately after downloading or whether you wish to save it to a location on your computer, so as to run a virus scan on the file before installing it to your computer.
Your choice.

MONEYUSER..... I did what you said and it downloaded but where it says Local disc C: thats all that is there. There is no files ANYWHERE that says mpeg1avi. The only time I see that is when I put the camera usb in and it comes up??????????
I feel such a dunder head!

Your best bet is to follow the advice given by donnie and install the correct codec. The camera software should've installed the codec for you anyway so don't be so hard on yourself, you're not doing anything wrong

Thanks moneyuser I feel sooo stupid to the point of wanting to cry!! Nothing seems to be working. I installed the downloads Donnie said and the firewall thing kept coming up and it kept going on about publisher not verified but they all seemed to do that don't they? To be honest i'm not too sure what he means by right click on the video file, what video file? I can't believe I managed to download photos crop, enlarge change colour and print with NO (honest!) help!!!!! Maybe I was having a good day.
