Tesco Price Checker Thread #8

I came on to see if anyone had been having problems getting their emails. Seems it's not just me, and tbh I've never really received the number of emails I should have and didn't really mind until tonight.
Yesterday my son told me he still had a receipt from the meal deal glitch that he'd found in his wallet and forgotten to enter. I entered it last night, and there should be a £5.93 voucher coming, but because today is 29 days after buying I can't just re-enter the details to bring it up, and of course they didn't send an email so I am not happy! (of course he should have entered it to price check sooner, but it does say 28 days, and of course Tesco say that they will send an email grrr!!)

I went to my local on Saturday to use a Difference voucher and 2 Dove vouchers. The young man immediately called the supervisor who told me they were being vigilant with vouchers as somebody had scammed the store earlier that day for over £400.00. They took my vouchers ok but when I went to the other store near me today the SA who I always go to because she takes vouchers with no problem immediately called a supervisor over. She asked me for the receipts for the vouchers ( which I had in my bag), checked and signed them all and told the cashier my vouchers were ok. I asked why they were being vigilant, as they had not asked for a receipt up to now, and I was told people were exchanging fake DTD vouchers for Gift Cards and then spending them so that they could not trace them. Although I have had a good run with DTD I am quite glad I only have about 3 vouchers left as I feel some difficulties coming. Perhaps rack of lamb for dinner tommorow.

Yes it was. Told me in a pm after I stupidly told him which area I was from. Did £400 each ( presumes that means with brother) in my home store and three close by. Shame as I was merrily using my last few vouchers and now the hackles are up in stores due to greed on some people's parts

So long as you are not abusing their t&c you will not have a problem.

can't believe henlans and brother are still upto no good after the recent fiasco where henlans brother was attacked and I stuck up for them both on this board:eek::eek::eek: henlans went on and on about how INNOCENT they both were , i knew it all along, had a feeling in my waters
