Just find it a bit surprising that at this stage of the game people would go into the store to use their Vouchers without remembering their receipt... Additionally, some people have blatantly made it perfectly clear that they are very happy not to have their receipts signed, going to checkout operators they know will not sign them, complaining when a voucher gets 'killed' by CO signing their receipt, ways to generate a brand new £20 voucher - etc etc etc. The people doing all this can say what they like, but we all know what was meant by it and what they were doing. No matter how big the store is, you do not remain anonymous in any way - staff remember customers, just like customers remember CO operators. Someone on here warned a little while ago that those who appeared to be abusing the system would get caught out eventually. Finally - people can argue all they want about an intention to abuse T&C by deliberately buying items that will generate DTD, or TD - but its really splitting hairs, you know in your heart of hearts there is a difference. All of this in no way excuses heavy handed and potentially illegal actions by security guards of course.

The thing that gets me is that in normal terms you give them vouchers and they say YES or NO and thats the end of it. But I reckon the store REALLY thought that the vouchers were fake. However is this a way to treat your customer before you check? After checking the vouchers and confirming that the voucher was not a fake!

I don't understand - how could anyone possibly fake a voucher?

possibly by altering a low value voucher to a £20 voucher and or changing the reciept numbers on a voucher to match reciepts that dont generate vouchers.
both off which I think would be classed as forgery

Henlans & family obviously ripped the a*** out of this Promotion & I don't think anyone on this Forum would necessarily make a judgement about that - as others have said - many of us have participated in it enthusiastically!

However, firstly - despite him/her saying a while back - "there are no lines" - I believe there are 'lines' (albeit unwritten) everywhere in life. Most people have the commonsense, decency & some ethics, not to cross them. It's probably time to admit you have crossed it & keep a low profile!

Secondly, if you have displayed the blatancy & arrogance in Mr T as you have on here about your 'right' to the stash, posting pics etc. - it was only a matter of time before you got caught. No-one is invincible - but the longer people get away with something, the more they seem to think they are!

I think the old adage - "quit whilst you're ahead" is one you should have a think on!

Also, if you're onto a good thing - there's a lot to be said for keeping your head down, your g*b shut & not drawing too much attention to yourself - that way 'the good thing' may last a long time!

I just find it intensely annoying when folks have had a good run for their money (as we certainly have on this Promotion) - when it suddenly doesn't got their way - it's a major drama, suing everyone etc. 'Screwing' Mr T may have been an 'opportunity' (I agree they are often guilty of screwing us) - but it is not your 'right'!

and fraud and would probably end up with you being detained by security guards and treat like a criminal.

Some people did abuse the promotion to this effect and for some reason believed they had a right to "take advantage of a promotion" in that way. Really I don't know why some people think they have a right to do this - why do they believe that the world owns them a life.
  • more importantly - vouchers are in! woohoo. meal deal still comparing.

without commenting on whether i think you did fraud or not, as it is not relevant to the point im making,

why did you not make an official complaint of assault to the police at the time.

they would then be duty bound to take an initial statement and sieze cctv at that time, before security have a chance to make it dissappear.

If unreasonable force was used, to which they would have to prove they did not, they would face charges and also the loss of their SIA licence.

a complaint to the security company should also be made.

I can post a couple of parts of the compaint to you.

Double the difference finished on the 28th April. Surely this means that all DTD vouchers should have been used by 26th May at latest. These vouchers were being used on 28th May.
So were these vouchers DTD ones or just difference. Or have i got this wrong somewhere?

Voucher dates can be extended by resubmitting the details, you will receive DTD provided that you originally submitted your receipt before 12pm 28/04. They email you your original voucher again but the expiry date seems to be extended ;)
