Take voucher to CS and ask then to reprint your receipt given the details from the voucher, it will be an A4 sheet but perfectly acceptable for your voucher to be then used as valid.I didn't do it, nobody saw me do it, you can't prove a thing!
Quidco and Topcashback, £4,569
Shopandscan, £2,840
Tesco Double The Difference, £2,700
Thomson EU261/04 Claim, £1,700
British Airways EU261/04 Claim, EUR12000 -
Wow.... Thank you Lactisforlife.
Very useful to know they can do this.0 -

Didn't think that would work as it states on voucher that it must be accompanied by the ORIGINAL receipt. Would cs printing off additional receipts not leave it open for people to reuse vouchers several times.0 -
This is what happened today at a Tesco Extra Store (Will post a longer detail soon)
The store will not be named as there is a compaint in progress.
Brother goes in Tesco and uses a few vouchers for Xbox games, SA was fine and SV was next to him and said the customer will need the receipt, My brother tells him that he does not have it with him and left it in the his friends car. The SV then says he can only use 1 voucher a day. My brother then says that’s fine and leaves the store.
My brother then goes back into the store and uses the toilet and then the security guard grabs his arm with some force and then my brother then pulls his away and the security ressals my brother to the ground.
My brother then gets up and 2 security guards are pulling him about and at this time my brother is calling 999 and the security guards will not let him go. My brother is not trying to leave the store but to stop them hurting him and pulling him to the ground. My brother then yells and them and says you have no right to do this and one of the security guards tells him that cos he had a badge it allows him to do this.
My brother at the same time is trying to speak to the 999 operator and the security guard is telling him to get off the phone otherwise the security guard will break his phone. They then pull him from the store front door to the wine area and pulling his arms and legs and at this time they are really sweating from doing this and at no time is my brother being violent or any reason for them to do this but he will NOT go to a room at the back. He told them he will wait for the police.
Because he needed the toilet he gets up and makes a dash for it. The security guards run to the exit and he does not go there and then they go back to the toilets and then wait with him. The store manager tells the security guards to leave him alone
Police come in 3 police cars with sirens and 3 officers. Police officer asks my brother if he has edited the voucher or changed it and my brother said that is
Fraud and he does not do that.
There is a lot more that happened and some stuff at this time can’t be posted but in the end the police talked to him and said “you found a loop hole and done well and its maybe time you stopped”
He was never arrested or searched, and walked off the tescos store with the police and has a breif chat and ended with a handshake.
Legal action? I think so!0 -
OMG, that's a bit excessive of the security isn't it? I think it's up to Tesco to be able to verify the vouchers they issue and if they did it right and train their stuff properly there was no need for stupid actions like this... I hope your brother will get a good apologise and more...0

OMG henlans just read your brothers experience, that is absolutely appalling, i hope he's ok and big hugs to you both
i had a scary experience yesterday, just went into tesco to return a pair of linen trousers that didn't fit, they security guard whisteled over her friend and manager as soon as i wnt to the CS desk, i haven't been in since the end of DTD!! 4 of them ummed and ahhd over the refund -i had used a few coupons (fairy and ariel) and they queried why i didn't go the store i bought it from. Eventually they relented but the whole experience left me very shaken.
Cannot imagine how your brother felt in comparison.GRATITUDE WHEN GIVEN, PATIENCE WHEN DENIED
Please press the thanks button when someone has helped!0 -
