On a completely different matter, on the news the other day I watched a report on british strawberries, and because we have had such lovely weather, farmers have got bumper crops and supermarkets are going to ditch overseas strawbs in favour of our own british strawbs, and best of all sell them half price! I hope thats true, because I've got plans to make jam/wine/liquer/pies with all these cheap strawberries! I'm hoping that the market will sell them even cheaper!0 -

had a good shop this morningat asda's. I was very organised and checked all the prices before I went and i wrote out 2 lists, one of things that were cheaper in other stores and another where Asda had the cheapest prices. Obviously I used vouchers as much as possible and picked up a couple of whoopsied items too.
Transaction 1 should have been £30.61 but was £14.98
Transaction 2 should have been £33.05 but was £21.74
So in total £63.66 down to £36.72!!
...and I should get a good few quid price guarentee voucher tomorrow morning!
Freezer is stocked, we have bread, cat food, meat, margerine and yogurts!!
I'm well happy - can you tell? :j
Cuckoo. xx
You deserve to be happy, that was an excellent result!Good lord Ive been reported for using the word greedy, I'm guessing those that used the words lazy, silly etc. were reported at the same time or was this another showing of double standards!
Welcome to the thread Googlies. If you sit awhile, and read the thread from the sidelines, you'll see that everyone is very helpful and supportive to each other, on here.
Please bear in mind, that coupon use has been around for a long time, and already has gone through sweeping changes with people abusing them. The same mentality hit DTDing too, and its been abolished! So people using coupons are naturally anxious that new people to their use, don't abuse, and cause the system to fail.
Obviously, there will still be some who do abuse, and we can only advise. I'm relatively new to this thread too, and felt some resistance to me at first! But I stayed around, chatted, (hopefully have helped too), so advise you to do the same.
We all have our own opinions, and I see no reason why they can't be voiced. As long as people do so wit manners, both old and new users of the thread
I personally feel that it is rather sad, that some people have had to state publically if they have asked the system to ignore others. Rather unfriendly! That's my two pennorth worth said!redundant_stock wrote: »does anybody have any voucher's for morrisons or home bargains or even b&m bargains
I enquired of my Home Bargains, about taking the airwick one, said yes, but today redeeming one, was hard work, young lass on the till hadn't a clue, and was asking me all the ins and outs, with a queue rapidly stretching farther and farther back, as they do!The mind is like a parachute. It doesn't work unless it's open0 -

I sort of do and don't understand what you are saying!
I have been a lurker for a while, because I was a little intimidated by the apparent closeness of some of these people, but as time has moved on I can see why! They help each other out with all sorts of problems and It is a very friendly site, every one looks out for each other and at the end of the day we are all here to save money, and boy can I tell you I have saved loads!
They are protective of their site, because it is simply a masterpiece. And all of us newbies I suppose it is a little scary for them, because a few are from the dtd thread and look what happened there! So much sniping and arguments, it was simply horrible. I, personally do not want sniping and boring arguments to be commonplace on this thread, it just seems pointless and is a real turn off. This is a happy thread and these people have spent time posting coupons etc voluntarily and in their own time, nobody asked them to do it, so I can understand why they are ignoring gogglier.
We are on this forum to save money. not argue about he said/ she said.
Lack of money is suppose to cause arguments, not saving money!0 -
they have the refill but they were £3 i think
other places are £2.98
so there not cheap but saying that you maybe able to remove the cap once refill is empty and fill with something cheaper, not tried but plan too when first ones emptyThanks for the info I will in town tomorrow as it is market day and I will pop into superdrug and try and get one! Do they sell the refills? Does anyone have a price for the refill?
