Just got back from another couponing trip. I was disappointed that I didn't need to go into Cambridge today, and therefore ASDA so I made up for it in Tesco. Another 6 Finish Quantamatics. Tried to be chatty with the lady on the till but the security tag remover on her till wasn't working so she kept having to nip off...I was in danger of being the worst customer of the day so I tried to remedy the situation by joking about it being broken. She paused for a moment with the coupons, wondering if I could use them all, was just about to call a supervisor and I piped up that they all had individual barcodes. All went through
I'm such a coupon convert. I'm taking the Quantamatics in to work tomorrow for people with dishwashersI like to make money

Morning everyone, very upset and can't stop crying. My pooch had an op last November, for various lumps but the main was in her mouth (or lip as the vet now insists), but the one I was most concerned about, the one on her lip was not removed. Went to another vet, recently and it turns out is is cancer. Wrote a letter to my previous vet who I have now spoken to on the phone (she called me 4 times yesterday but I was out)...insists that the lump was not there, insists that I hadn't mentioned it; says the consent form agreed to what was to be done (I don't recall anything being listed as she says)...says I didn't pay for the lump to be removed so why would I get a refund. Said she was very upset that I was upset and that she was a softy...basically, I felt like I was being called a liar and expected something for nothing (although eventually offered to do the op at a reduced rate as a gesture of goodwill, but I don't want to put pooch through it again.) She had removed gum tissue which hadn't been discussed prior to op and now insists I signed a consent form for this. Insists the lump wasn't there and if it was I should have marked it. I said how could I do that, it was in her mouth and she said it was the lip you could have done it. She said when I asked the nurse at the checkup about it that I only mentioned her mouth (it seems the lip is not her mouth!).
There was more, but the bit where she said she had always been mindful of my financial situation (since ex left), meaning she had given some discount (which I don't believe), just made me burst into tears. I feel mortified and I don't know why and can't stop crying.
The bottom line is she missed the lump irrespective of whether she didn't charge me for not removing it. But the worst, is that she is denying it and I've been at that vets for years. Years. I only wanted a refund so I could pay for any treatment (not op) for pooch. I sold my car so I could pay for the last one. I trusted the vet completely and never questioned her when she immediately suggested an op. The lump on her mouth (lip) was the main thing, everything else was extra so she would only go through one op. And the gum tissues was never mentioned.
Sorry for the whine.
Hugs to you. I know any pet is part the family and not just a pet, so understandably your upset. take care, Naomi**Thank to all MSE who save me money with vouchers/ freebies & competitions ***0 -

Hi, I'm really sorry if this is in the wrong place. I've just signed up for the 3 months free weightwatchers deal but couldn't find anywhere to enter a discount code, now I've recieved an email from paypal saying that I'm being charged £29.85! Is there anyway I can still apply the discount code or cancel my subscription to stop the charges as I've just signed up about an hour ago or will I be charged either way?
TIA0 -

there should be something in your email that tells you how to cancel if you wish to before they take the money.
If not, there should be a contact us button or some way of contacting them.
Use it and explain to them you signed up for the free 3 months trial and here is your discount code and can they cancel the charge please.0 -

Try sending a polite email and see if they will honour the code, they may say no, but if you don't ask you don't get.
Legally speaking, I am not totally 100% on this (no quoting me-only a legal student) under the Distance Selling regulations you would have a cooling of period of 7 working days to change your mind and get a full refund. As this does not fall in one of the exceptions: eg financial service or auctions with an auctioneer.
However, consumers cannot cancel contracts that have already begun. So, if your membership has started immediately ie as soon as you paid then legally you cannot cancel. I tried looking for the terms and conditions of weight-watchers but can't seem to find it. However, I would probably guess that somewhere it says that your membership starts as soon as you paid.
The distance selling regulations wont help you then. So, to stop talking rubbish, send a email and hope for the best as legally, unless there is no mention of the membership starting straight away, they probably do not have to give you money. However, as you could not find the area to type the code in, that could be a good case for them to refund you the money just via email.

Have not really got any idea where you signed up but I just did a quick google and looks to me as though there are 2fees that apply when joining Weight Watchers a joining fee and a plan fee...looks as though you have got 1for free and have been charged for the other.....if you divide £29.85 by 3, thats £9.95 a month, which is about right , I think, so you I think you have saved the joining fee.....I could be wrong, but I do not think I have ever seen an offer for 3months free for both joinng and the plan......sorry can't be of any more help0
