Just went to Asda and used four coupons. So embarassing, the cashier checked each one, had to ask a supervisor and they in turn had to call someone. I was absolutely mortified. Only the third or fourth time I have been in that store ever......I guess this could only be down to peeps abusing the system.....I wouldn't mind but they were coupons from the Asda site - Finish, Robinsons and Huggies and the lactofree.....:(

Hi try not to be embarassed. Its just that if more than a few coupons are used the SA needs to have a supervisor over ride the till. the supervisor will just ask the sa if you bought the products and then put her key in the till, type in a number and its sorted. It happened to me today and yesterday too in a different asda.

Don't let it bother you, just chat to the SA for a minute or two and then wait for your change.

Its not personal, and its really nothing to worry about, honest.

Did the cashier have to call the supervisor over because the till wouldn't let them through or was it just something they do now in your Asda? It used to be 6 coupons before an overide/supervisor was needed in Asda.

They were checking they were genuine by looking at them and checking they were coupon star/manufacturer etc. As I say only the second time I have used coupons at a checkout (been in a couple of other times but not used any). Totally totally mortified. My boy was in the trolley needing the toilet and I was on my way to collect my daughter and the two women behind me in the queue were sending daggers...:(

Just had an exciting shop at Tesco!!!!
25% off all wine, when you purchase 6 bottles or more, including the mini bottles, which are 4 for £5, but the 25% comes off the original selling price, just got 16 mini bottles, 1 finest meal deal for £10, which included a £9.99 bottle of wine, the meal deal let me choose 2 puds instead of the side dish, got 2 GU desesets and used 2 x 50 p coupons!! (so meal deal for £6.50)
so 16 mini bottles (various types)
    1 meal deal
    1 pineapple
    1 strawberries
    1 Cooking sauce
    used 2 x 50p coupon and 1 x £20 DTD voucher
    Cost 0.58P
