First time the bumps will hang about for 12 - 24 hours, then go down. each time after that it'll get better, and less painful too. Leave well alone for at least 24 hours after you've done it (try to get the rest of the legs done if you can bear it - I usually sit on the bed with my knee drawn up to my chest and the the spare hand the pull the skin taut as this lessens the agony - for the knees just bend your leg as far as you can as this pulls the skin taut on its own. Ankles HURT - there is NO getting away from this!) then after that regular exfoliation either with scrubby gloves, or a scrub, or a combination of the two. I always make sure I give my legs a really good rubbing with my towel when drying as well. Then make a note - in a weeks time, epilate again to get the stragglers. You'll need to keep up the weekly thing until you suddenly realise that the regrowth has gone finer, and less of it too, then you can switch to fortnightly. whatever you do though DON'T do what I did and decide that, as with shaving, there's no need to bother when winter (aka trouser-season) kicks in - it hurts more when you go back to it again with *ahem* heavy regrowth.

Good luck - I wouldn't go back to shaving for anyone now!

rosemary - hugs to you, hope you get things sorted out.

Some uu's for me already this month - very pleased:

Johnsons 24 hr moisturising hand cream - wiba?, maybe, I got it for 99p but I saw it at Tesco for £2.03 for 50ml, that is quite expensive, soaks up nicely but doesn't moisturise for 24 hrs imo.

Derma intensive coconut body butter - 99p from Home Bargains, wiba? - no, took to long to rub in, too long to sink in, moisturised well but smelt a bit synthetic to me.

BS Cranberry Joy soap - wiba? - yes and already have 2 more in the stash from the sales. Would only buy in the sale though, it is not worth full price.

No ins yet - and best of all haven't been tempted at all so far :j:j

Welcome newbies - looking forward to your stash lists.

Sorry for being awol, just been so busy recently, three weekends away and i've found myself doing more and more work....

Decided to go back part time next week, as i was feeling guilty for not working when with the baby and then I feel guilty for working when I should be spending time with the baby iyswim... I thoughht by having some structured hours for work (baby with grandad/dad) it might help me feel a bit more in control....

House looks like a pigsty and I really need to start running and hitting the gym again....

Dont mean to moan, just trying to let it all out :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Anyway - not seen any posts really except Rosemary ((((hugs)))) to you, I dont really have any advice... if it was my OH I would be back at my dad's by now :rotfl::rotfl:

Will go and read back and then have a cuppa and a chat....

Oh - not sure who it was Viv??? Fisherground Camping was fabulous.... no noise after 10.30pm the wardens live on site and make sure its adherred to - we're off back later in the year :D

UU £1 hair dye - not bad, did the job. wiba? yes - bit darker than im used to but for the price i cant really argue only thing is it seems to stain the skin a bit more than my old one, but now i know that ill just be more careful when doing it. OH is happily in the shower now using the new set i just gave him for a present too so slowly getting rid of the secret stash from the lloyds shop. The majority of whats left will be going to my dad for his birthday and fathers day soon. Managed to offload 2 of my 3 top gear board games too - one to my sister for her birthday and the other to OH for his - no idea what to do with the remaining one though :p

DH gone for a swim, asked if I was invited and he said "you can come if you get a move on" said no thanks and sat in garden enjoying last of the sun with a glass of fizz whilst(stupidly!) reading a mill and boon type book!
made his dinner....shepherds pie from freezer and rhubarb(his fav) from garden but will not be eating with him as after 2 nights of the silent treatment I am losing my appitite when eating with him!!
fell asleep in garden as tired from last night so now red faced(or could be the fizz!)
no wonder there are so many wars with men in charge
tv rubbish tonight so will go up to DS3s room to read again rather than a silent night with him!

It's certainly a good exercise, seeing it all listed like this is a real help. I actually thought body lotion was the problem, when I now realise I have more shower gel! Blue indicates in use

Here's the dodgy group hug - hope it makes Rosemary smile :grouphug:.

I've uu two small hotel miniature bubble baths that I was using as hand wash in the bathroom. I had thought that I'd run out of proper hand wash, however, over Easter I was having a little sort out of a wardrobe and found a large bottle of Bayliss & Harding handwash that I'd had at Xmas. I will save this for when I need some more in the kitchen though as it's a bit big to sit on the bathroom sink. I will therefore move on to using a 75 ml bottle of Elle MacPherson Release the Day Bath Soak.

I have also uu a packet of Skin Therapy Facial Wipes and as I've got no more to replace them with I'll try to manage with using eyemakeup remover and facial wash - it will just take a bit more effort before I go to bed.

There is a Lush in York, which I blame for starting my toiletry addiction right back when I was a lowly fresher at uni!

Aww no!! (huggles) to Rosemary! ='[ you're in my thoughts hun, men are so immature!

On a happier note, I just wanted to have a mini-rave about this Avon stuff.

Its the Clearskin Professional stuff, the set of 3 for about £7. It's a facial scrub, cleansing pads and a daily correcting lotion.
Not only has it calmed down my MASSIVE flare-up of acne (with writing/handing in that report, starting placement and writing dissertation) as the spots dont look so angry and red anymore, but it has also made my skin SOOO smooth!! And in only 2 days!!!
Have barely started using it but WBA DEFINATELY! [STRIKE]Infact, I may have to stock up on it[/STRIKE]

Cant wait for Friday to have my pamper-bath and use afew more of my goodies =]

Also, does anyone have any ideas as to what to use on REALLY chapped lips?
I have a vaseline chapstick (I dont like using the pots on placement as it involves dunking my finger in them and then applying to my lips, and I get weird about seeing patients and then touching my mouth no matter how many times I wash my hands with soap and then use alcohol gel), but even applying it every half hour or so doesnt seem to be improving the chapped-ness of my lips =s
