Hi All. This is VALM reporting from the naughty step. It had to be done though - I could try and kid myself that I wouldn't buy it and come up with all rational reasons why I shouldn't but having seen it's on Auto Delivery I HAD TO HAVE IT - yes I've gone for the OPI TSV. Of course, it was the "we're only 20mins into the show and 60 gazillion have sold already" (I may have exaggerated on numbers there!) spiel that got me "jumping to the phone" I was on hold for ages as well which didn't do much for my already hightened sense of hysteria.

In my defence I always use the Nail Envy and Avoplex and the whole kit only cost a few pence more for the other lacquers!

I also bought a can of Batiste at weekend as ours is feeling very light.

2 UUs to report as well: Jar of Elemis PCMC - my HG - have more in stash (thankfully!) and Elemis Melting Gel Cleanser - have more in stash but not so in love with this product.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

On the subject of hair removal, I got sent a free Remington ladies' shaver to trial (and keep). It's one of those that can be used wet and dry, my old Ladyshave was about 10 years old and no longer held a charge very well. I had to buy a shaver charger for it (and then promptly found our old one!).

I have vague memories of pit waxing being a total disaster c. 15 years ago, I just ended up with waxy fur - these days it might work better as I've got MUCH less fur with age (ditto legs).

feeling like c**p as Dh came home still not talking last night and refused to go to danceclass(which normally cheers him up) so after a silent meal(God how I hate that) I went up to spare room and "slept" there.....not much sleep esp as new unlined white print curtains and single glazed so bird song woke me at 4 am:(
all he said today was "I,m off"

I so hate it when he does not talk,I flare up and shout at him but he stops talking for days on end,I feel like walking out but need to patch things up for DS1 coming home next week from USA.I am sick of being in the wrong
sorry to moan but its hard to say anything to friends who think we have the perfect marriage(guess it is from his point of view as he gets what he wants most of the time BUT I just have to do what suits him,I hate injustice and regret the "I will obey"bit as of course he keeps bringing it up:mad:

off to hairdressers for cut and deepconditioning treatment with massage...sounds good but always seems to give me a headache and as I already have one I could do without it but took me two weeks to get appointment with all the bank holidays and can't think of an excuse not to have massage.

Rosemary that sounds like an awful situation. Is it possible to shock him into sorting things out? A straight conversational "we either need to talk this through or I am going to spend a bit of time away to work out what I want from our marriage" sort of approach? I appreciate what you say about wanting to make sure things are OK for your DS when he comes home but he's not daft - he's going to realise pretty fast that things aren't all they seem even if you paper over the cracks. Hugs to you - hope things can be sorted out.

Re the massage - something along the lines of "no massage for me today please - my scalp's feeling a little tender" ought to do the trick.

    Hi everyone
Thinking of you today rosemary as your DH sounds very similiar to my DH! In fact I have just spent 50 mins on the phone to my friend about mine. I hope you can work things out.
I've also been sent an email saying that I've won a Bliss Sage and Lemon body butter from The Sunday Times competition that I entered - yay! I love that body butter, so am very chuffed. :) Also got a £10 high street voucher from lovefilm in the post, that works in Boots. Hurrah!

Well done on your win, have been looking to buy the Bliss body butter when my stash of creams has reduced a bit. Saw it on QVC yesterday and was very tempted!

I have no INs yet but have 2 x Groupon vouchers to use up asap before they expire which is pretty soon I think. Keep putting it off because I haven't found any good offfers, unlike online when they have good sales, but have at least resisted their 30% off and B1G1HP sale. :)

I too resisted the BS sale and recent offers - I have a £10 off when you spend £25 still to use by the 25th of May- on what I don't know!

Thanks, Valm just ordered it will keep the shatter coat and give one of the colours as a gift (the mushroom I think). Thought it was a good price and can't wait to try the silver shatter! Got 5.05% Topcashback aswell. :j
It came to £33.23 so that works out at £5.54 per item for 5 full 15ml sizes and the avoplex to go treatment - bargain!

Rosemary sending you hugs. The next time your OH throws the Obey thing at you tell him it doesn't make you his slave it just means that when it comes to huge life and death decisions, they can be made without recriminations later on. That's how we were brought up the understand the Obey thing and why strangely enough i insisted on the old words in our vows, even though i'm probably the one who wears the trousers (metaphorically) most of the time in our marriage.

Bev, the BS offer of £10 off still means you need to spend £15 on something you probably don't need :)

    Wise words Lemon Tree.
No ins or UU's for me. Just skimming. Have had lunch so I'm off to carry on sewing (DD's pettiskirt). It had better look smashing the amount of time I'm spending on it :)

Hugest hugs to Rosemary and Bev.

Men are stupid. Then again so am I. It's been months and I still wake, sleep, think of and remember mine :( But again, had my weekly cry at the weekend and now back to I'll be ok, it was real, denial circle. But it keeps me going with my day-to-day life and that's all I need right now.

I'm [STRIKE]rushing off to look at the QVC website for the OPI stuff[/STRIKE] going to finish lunch and get back to work.

Had another email my Nails Inc rewards expire in a week. Holding out until InStyle is out tomorrow, they usually have a promo code in the mag when they have a free polish with it, and if they do, combine the code with my renewal order and [STRIKE]a lovely purple crackle[/STRIKE] nothing else :D:A

Also forgot an unintentional IN, a face wash to trial from Boots Volunteers.

Received my Zumba today, so thevicster I'll let you know what it's like either when I move back to mine next week (bro-in-law will be back) or if I ship my PS3 to my sister's place.

Received a mail shot (snail mail) from L'Occitane with a 20% off code for online or to take the card in-store for discount. Will try to resist!!!!

    Afternoon!

*hugs* to Rosemary - hope things get better for you soon xx

Had another rejection email for jobs today :( so frustrating! Its OHs birthday today - actually managed to get a few little bits and bobs extra for it, including a big cup of pick n mix and some cheapish dvds - also have to admit I gave him two kind of freebies too that I had sitting in the cupboard - extras I got from the Lloyds pharmacy B1G2F but he doesnt know that :p

Am off to have a bit of a pamper session this afternoon - going out for a meal tonight, although I do feel bad OH is paying though...
Will be testing out my £1 hair dye - somewhat worried about it going horribly wrong because for that price I don't particularly trust it but time shall tell. And if it does turn out good then thats very MSE :D
Does anyone have any good advice on epilolating (sp?) I dont use mine too often but as Im too broke to buy new venus blades I figured Id use that instead - Managed to get half way round on each leg but it was too painful to do the rest but what I did manage to do has now come up all red and bumpy (kind of like shaving bumps) its been like that all morning now and it doesnt seem to want to go down - any ideas on stopping it doing this every time?
