I thought she looked very beautiful and the dress most appropriate and understated as it was almost the complete opposite of William's mother's on her wedding day, for obvious reasons.

You're right, the whole thing from the choice of flowers, veil and their demeanour on the balcony was lovely, they appeared very happy but restrained and dignified. Most appropriate in the current situation too!

I think her dress was beautiful.

Simple and classy ~ she looked wondeful in it.

Especially liked the little ruffle bits at the back over her hips/backside.

I thought it was very graceful & very classy. It suited her perfectly, she looked happy & comfortable. She's a lovely looking young woman & less is more is def her.
I thought her sisters dress was really lovely, nicest bridesmaid dress I've ever seen. I thought the little bridesmaids & page boys looked great too, as did Wills & Harry.

I wonder does Victoria really design herself or is she just a front?

Nothing to get excited about here either then but my gosh David Beckham is handsome:D

I didn't like the dress at all. Thought it was very plain and ageing. Considering the designers she had available to her, you would think she could have styled herself in a far better way. For the wedding to take place in such an amazing venue you needed a mind blowing dress. Think it all overshadowed her a bit.

I thought Kate looked beautiful and her dress was perfect.

Also loved Nick Clegg's wifes outfit - very glam. Hated Sam Cams, she looked like she couldnt be bothered and was off to John Smiths Day at York Races, not a royal wedding. Thought TPT looked like a smurf and both Beatrice and Eugenie looked awful. David Beckham looked like Ricky Gervais, and Posh was wearing a slanket.

Indeed he is...but onto more mundane matters, I thought there was no WOW factor and I thought the whole thing was so restrained and controlled that I actually lost interest...and why have a funeral hymn?

    Anyway, it's done now.

    Oh my God how rude!

That article said Posh was dressed in black, so I made a comment which was showing underneath, saying she was actually in navy.

Just looked again now and they're changed what they said about black and removed my comment! :rotfl::rotfl:

It's OK, I'll await my payment for doing their job for them ;)

I thought Catherine's (no more Kate, apparently) dress was beautiful and perfect for her. Her sister looked beautiful too in her dress. I thought Beatrice looked as if someone had given her two black eyes and both her outfit and her sister's were awful. That's my opinion, but everyone has their own one. The bride's mother looked very elegant.

You don't dress for a venue on your wedding day, whether it's a registry office or Westminster Abbey You don't dress for the guests, even if one of them is the Queen. You don't dress for your intended, even if it is a Prince.

The dress you choose should reflect you because you have to wear for the day and look back at pictures of yourself for years to come. Kate's dress reflected her style perfectly and she was clearly very comfortable in it. It was classy and in keeping with a current vogue for vintage details. She looked a lot better than her Diana, who looked truly awful and very uncomfortable. Diana later confided to someone after her wedding that she wasn't happy with the dress because it creased and she felt swamped by it.

For the last few weeks I've heard nothing but people talking about what she should be wearing compared to what she does. It never ceases to surprise me how many people are desperate to change Kate's natural style. Kate like classic styles, and simple hair and make-up. Too many people are trying to turn her into a clothes horse like Diana.

    I hope they never do.
