What did we all think of Kates dress?

I would love to know what you all thought as I've chatted to my friends and dd and I firmly in the minority because we didn't like it:(
I felt it was too demure and aging for her, I would of preferred either something plainer and more elegant of something with a bit of a fashion edge, I realise that she is probably has certain restraints, but I felt the lace looked cheap, I didn't like the low cut V at the front or the padding across her bust and you could still see her nipples:eek: and it was neither big nor small, pretty nondescript really, beautiful service though and they both looked so happy:D
Not really an MSE subject but what do you think?

I didn't like it either. I thought the lace was cheap and aging. I really liked Pippa's bridesmaid dress though. I'd definitely wear that if I was 20 years younger and getting married again.
And what on earth were Sophie W and the York girls wearing on their heads!!! Did someone tell them it was a comedy wedding0 -

Yep, agreed, was it Beatrice in that awful Vivienne Westwood dress? I quite liked Kates veil, but again nothing to get excited about, Pippas dress was really nice and I saw some older female guests looking supremely elegant, don't know who it was but someone was in dark grey and looked stunning, did anyone see Victoria Beckham?Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0 -

Reminiscent of Princess Margaret's dress with a slimmed down skirt. Highlighted her figure well, also paid reference to the see through lace dress she was wearing when Wills first saw her and the colour was very flattering to her skin tone. Brilliant white would have looked cheap.
