I thought Kate looked lovely in her dress and I loved pippas dress. I wasnt planning on watching the wedding but I did and it was actually quite nice to see. I also wondered what Harry said to William and I rewinded so many times but couldnt work it out.

They seemed to have the 2 three years old under close control - walking them in with Pippa, they didn't stay for the service, and then joined the procession again by the door on the way out with each holdings hands with one of pageboys.

I think I heard somewhere that Harry was teilling William that she looked gorgeous.

tbh I thought the dress was very Kate - in the sense that you could imagine her wearing that dress in the local church if she had been marrying Joe Bloggs.

As for Beatrice and Euginie someone really does need to take them in hand.....awful awful outfits and least said about the hats the better.Mind you I hope Princess Anne has a better mother of the bride outfit for Zara's wedding than she did for her nephew's wedding.

To the poster who wanted to know what Harry said to his brother, was something along the lines of: right, she's here now or something along those lines from what I can make out and I do a bit of lip reading, usually in the pub!

Prince Harry said "Wait till you see what's coming"...............according to the BBC:

I didn't see the jolly policeman:D entertaining the crowds..............very reminiscent of Norman Wisdom.:T

  • I loved the top part of Kate's dress, the bottom seemed to drown her a bit, shes so slim and sort of got 'lost' in all that fabric.

Pippa looked great, wonder if those 2 little bridesmaids wiped their cakey fingers all over it at the reception?!

Eug and Bea's outfits looked like a pair of dogs dinners, such a shame but they looked like Cinderella's ugly sisters, they have great figures under those scary frocks and dont start me on the hats..........

Lol, enjoying reading everyones comments here!

I caught the wedding on the constant replays at the gym! All sport ahd been cut and the wedding was just on about 60% of the screens....not as amazing as the fact that most people,(infact mostly male) seemed to be watching it!! (this was about 5pm long after it had ended).

I thought the dress was really lovely and actually suited both the times "austerity" as it looked quite pared down and simple yet still managed to look quite elite and special as it was so...white and elegant. Even if it is going to be repeated on the high street as one crude fashion drawing (which I thought looked nothing like the actual dress) on the news seemed to suggest, they will never be able to replicate the same thing as it was just made so beautifully simple and with amazing silk which just hangs so perfectly. That dress must have been quite heavy!

I did think when seeing her dress that Pippa almost stole the show- to the point that I thought it even seemed a little cheeky, it being the bride who is supposed to wow not her bridesmaid! But she did look stunning, if a bit too skinny! I like to think (with both) many pairs of SPANX were used, who wouldn't?! But know theres only so much even spanx can do, even if you wear three sets!

Feel for Beatrice and Eugiene, being Fergies children I dount they will even be able to do anything without being sneered at by the press, I think they could have possibly styled themselves differently but still think the press-or should I say 'womens magazines' would have still launched into them, if they'd dressed more elegantly they'd have been told they were being mutton-as-lamb especially when put side by side with Kate and Pippa Middleton, if they wear something fun they are being seen as a joke...I feel for them.

Laughed out LOUD when I saw the hands-on-ears Bridesmaid/flower girl- thats hilarious! She will never live that down!! I think maybe chosing a 3 year old wasn't such a good idea... I did think she must have been very tierd, being on your best behaviour is hard for most under 10's and what with it being such a hyped wedding she would have likely had little sleep, being in the presence of HRH would have been told to be on her best behaviour from the word go: not just infront of the cameras, probably not been able to eat anything when in the dress so the break when the ceremony was on would have been limited to sitting still, being quiet and being spoon fed if anything at all, can imagine all involved were not at all happy but OMG has she got herself known as a household name now!!

I agree. Also think it is kinder to "comment" by omission. There have been some very unkind remarks in the Press.

The more I've seen since the wedding makes me feel that William and Kate have set an agenda which goes towards ensuring that they are going to have some privacy in their lives and that the frenzy of media attention and the public appetite for every minute detail of their lives as we knew it with Diana will be quelled.

I think Catherine is very dignified and I think maybe she will present herself publically with a "working wardrobe", so the frenzy about what she's wearing next won't hit the front pages everytime she steps out of the door . She already seems to be doing this to me. Her fashion choices have been tasteful but quite restrained and unremarkable; deliberately I suspect. I even wonder if her "Royal Hotness" Pippa was a further ploy actually to shift some of the unwanted-type attention from Catherine.

So far I think the public has been given exactly what the couple wanted to show of themselves and no more. I think this is absolutely the right way to play it. The public appetite is fuelled by the media mainly. Put the media firmly in it's place and we can move forward more promisingly, seeing Catherine for who she is as a person and what she does, rather than what she's wearing.

What did everyone think of Tara Palmer Tomkinson's outfit? Although I liked all the pieces separately I thought it was just a bit too much and that it made her look a bit cartoon character / caricature?

I thought her sister who they showed with her "Santa Sebag Montefiore!!" (Yes really! OMG! what a name! never heard of her before?) looked great though.
