  • There are truly some sad and bored people on MSE's forums - What is the problem?

The seller is clearly - from the language used, not very good at their English, However they are trying to sell their car, and doing surprisingly well, Nobody can be forced to pay a deposit and i doubt very much the experienced ebayers who've made bids have each paid £20!

It does seem that there is a large volume of posters on MSE with nothing better to do than harass sellers for trifling errors and mistakes which is sad, petty minded and frankly no help to anyone!

How many of the people who are leaving nasty comments saying it's all a big scam would be helpful enough to email the seller and let him know he's made an error? None I'd guess!

As an aside how moneysaving of the people trying to get the listing pulled - which will cost the seller his fees?! :(

You can put away your violin, regardless of what his first language may be or what difficulties he has with English what he is doing on this auction is wrong, he cannot write the rules to suit himself.

If ebay pull the listing they will not charge him any fees.

They don't always refund fees now, even if they pull the advert themselves.

Do you have a costume like Batman? Do you patrol your neighbourhood righting wrongs, moving yobbos along etc.? Or is your mission just ebay, nice - easy and safe?
It's up to the people who wish to bid on this car and don't like the terms to sort it out. You don't really know if these people are paying a deposit. Due to the high feedback of some, it's hard to believe.
    Jackals.

I didnt put the post on here for people to report, merely for people to have a laugh at. I have never and would never report(ed a listing. Like you say, if people are happy with it fine.

Personally I wouldnt buy a car from someone who could hardly speak a word of the queens anyway, but that may just be me

I do wonder now if the seller has not really worded it well and it is only the winner who pays the £20 before paying the rest in cash? Perhaps the seller is mixing up the words 'bidder' 'winner' and 'winning bidder'.

Im sure I would easily make that kind of mistake if I were to try and write a listing in say French or German:o. Having said that, its not a 99p auction, so I would have got a nice french or german friend to look over my listing wording before putting it up.:D

Will be interesting to see how the auction goes anyway, as there are two quite inexperienced bidders battling it out, with 2 and 8 feedbacks respectively at the mo.

I have no violin :D As macfly has pointed out why is it that some people feel the need to police Ebay - Superhero costumes or not

On you go then - show us one or two. I can't remember one on here.
  • How can I show you listings that have been reported and then consequently pulled?
Have you not seen this before?
How about the second chance offer scam?
    how about shill billing?
I really dont have anything to prove to you and I am not on this board to argue with people.
Sometimes people are like a dog with a bone.
I am going to see if anyone else on the bay needs any (policing) help.
