HAPPY BIRTHDAY IF!! :bdaycake: Hope you've had a fab day!!

Sorry to hear things aren't good Miss_T, feel free to have a rant on here if it will help.....

Number 5 for me today please Spoony :j
Spent the day helping my friend decorate her bathroom & then caught up with some friends who i don't see very often at all, but they were changing trains here & had an hour to kill, so i popped for a quick drink & catch up with them, it would definitely have been worth losing an NSD for, but they insisted on buying me a drink, so a really fab catch up & no pennies were parted with!! :D
    February NSD challenge 5/15
  • With any luck I will pop in to announce NSD 2 today. No spending. I am at home, watching 'The Hotel' after a very stressful Come Dine with me (the hosts not me) and finally finishing the Umberto Eco 'On Literature' using Ad breaks to listen to wee bits of Aristotles Poetics a freebie from Librivox, where I get most of my Audiobooks.
Brain is feeling a bit urgh but I am now richer through having had an introduction to Semiotics, more Literary Education, with an Academic who clearly knows his onions and is very highly educated, ie not just Literature but maths etc.
I am also slowly ploughing through Aristotles Poetics bit by bit little by little in the Ads breaks so hopefully I break the psychological hijacking that occurs the second the Ad Breaks kicks in. I am having a break.
Hopefully have enough energy to ring an important friend of mine and make a meal etc, and resist all shoppping and nab that NSD.

And today takes me to NSD #6 :T

I did end up near one of the filling stations I use, but hadn't taken my purse with me. I'd gone up to have a treadmill run at the gym (too tired after yesterday to go out and pound the streets), and had decided to leave my purse at home so as to resist being tempted to 'nip into' the shops (gym is on a reasonbly sized retail park). As it happened I couldn't get my @rse out the house early enough to get there before the stores closed anyway :o

Unless I need to make a long journey before Wednesday evening I'm going to leave off refuelling until then (and will put the money to one side on Tuesday, as that's a D/Debit day anyway ;)). While I was at the gym I spotted a notice saying they've just started a new Zumba class which I can get to (on a Wed evening, the others are during the day on Mon & Tues so I'm at work), so I've booked a place on that (no extra charge, but they advise booking as it's a popular class -and it means you don't get turned away 'cos it's full when you arrive). Quite excited about this, as it's something I've read a lot of rave reviews about and have wanted to try for a while :D

    NSD#3 today :D

I was expecting tomorrow would bring another NSD, but a good friend of mine has invited me out to lunch, so the NSD will have to wait a little longer. Hopefully I'll catch it on tuesday :p

Not been on for the last few days but the last few days of the week were spendy, no spendy, spendy days respectively. Overall, I'm now at NSD #3. I'm quite pleased with that as if I can stick to 3 a week I'll be over target by the end of the month :D

Today has been a spendy day as it's my little sis's birthday, but not by much, so am still :)ing.

Right, now off to catch up on everyone's posts over the last few days and hopefully get some extra motivation :D

No NSD for me this weekend, I seem to be stuck on 2.

I really need to try a bit harder or I'll struggle to make my target this month!!

  • I did it Spoonie et al MSE Lovelies I nabbed another NSD!!! :j:money:
    NSD NO 2.:A
How I did it. Sitting on !!!! at Laptop, watching Desperate Housewives on E4, reading I finished the Umberto Eco 'On Literature' which was not a commentary on various notable authors but an whole subject area introduction to Semiotics as well as a detailed exploration of Eco's formidable mind, watching my enemies at God TV at work. Be warned this lot will grab at any cash you have allocated to plug their various financial deficits. Sitting in garden in fresh air with only laptop running FIP no ads and free French lessons courtesy of nice presenters with an ecclectic interesting individual playlists. Lots of french gems. Being occupied.
I don't claim any merit other than being able NOT to spend today, online, or apps and so nabbing my second consecutive NSD.
Hope everyone is well and go get em MSE Lovelies!!
