The closer I get to the end the more frequently I stop for a reward. I am now checking diaries because I've got half way through the final section.Starting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49

Finished the coursework.
Still have to prepare lessons etc for next week, but I don't mind that so much.
Good luck to all the other teachers who have stuff to get done before next term starts.Starting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49

Forgot to mention - just before the tax year changed, I moved £500 from my EF to my ISA, so I need to update my sig.
Busy day planned for today, but no marking this time. Best wishes to any teachers getting stuff ready for the new term.Starting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49

Lois,
If you are now looking into ISA's for the new tax year you should check out Fidelity. They are currently offering reduced intial fees for Stocks and Shares ISA's and there is £100 cashback available if you sign up via Quidco. If the minimum investment is £1000 (which it is in many cases, although can be as little as £500) then even if the investment stays flat you would have a 10% ROI from the cashback.Mortgage 1 Oct 11 - £118k @ 1.29%(BR+0.79) July 14 £118k
Mortgage 2 Oct 11 - £17k @ 3.19%(BR+2.69) July 14 £3k (£0 after offsetting)

Thanks jimmybrid. How thoughtful of you to suggest that. However, since I'm not sure yet how much I'm going to have to spend on my house this year (maintenance and a few improvements like extra storage) I'm not putting into a 2013-14 ISA yet.
This evening I am grateful for these things:
1) I had lunch with a friend and caught up, which was fun.
2) My kids helped tidy the house before the friend arrived, so now it looks nice.
3) It didn't rain when I was trying to sort stuff out in the garden.
4) My house is less cluttered by one car-load of tip stuff.
5) I have now got all the school uniform I need for my kids for next term.Starting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49

Today I am going to try to get lots done at home. There is more school work that I need to do, but I'm leaving that until tomorrow or Friday. I need to make the most of the time at home before I have to go back to school next week, and make sure I'm fully caught up on the domestic front before the school work takes over again.
I have made myself a to do list with everything on it, even the really little things. It has 27 things on it! But I have managed to do 2 already, despite not getting up particularly early. So we'll see how many I can complete before the end of the day. I am going to try to do another 6 before coming back onto MFW to read diaries etc.
Meanwhile, thanks for posting to Miss Money Magnet, Alchemilla, Squirrel, Courgette, feelingfestive, TYO and jimmybrid

ETA As at 11:25, I have received an email that resulted in 2 extra items getting added to the list, but I have done 8 things since I was here earlier, so I am now at 10/29. I have to admit that a lot of the things I've done have been quick ones, like "book haircut appointment" and the ones that are left to do will take rather longer, like "pack parcels" and "go to Post Office". Still, 10/29 by 11:25am isn't bad, I think.Starting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49

It's now 2:55pm, and I am at 17/31.
Just about to go and do the ones that need me to go somewhere, so that should get 5 more done. Here's hoping I can get what I want in B&Q.
Hope everyone else's day is going well. We have had sun here but it is cloudy again now.
ETA: Change of plan. Have got to look after a friend's child for a couple of hours, so I've moved two items from today's list to tomorrow's one. It is now nearly 4:30pm and I am at 20/29.Starting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49
