Thank goodness for the on-line renewals. The discs come through quickly. I always have a massive panic attack trying to find car paperwork each year. Just think it could be worse; you could still be paying the dog insurance. And as my sister put it, the house will stand a few inches taller from all the weight it's lost.Pots: House £6966/£7100, Rainy day Complete, [STRIKE]Sunny day £0/£700[/STRIKE], IVF £2523/£2523, Car up-keep £135/£135, New car £5000/£5000, Holiday £1000/£1000, MFW #16 £2077/£3120

Thanks Thistle and Peonie. Hope you can make progress with your paperwork mountains too.
OK, lazy morning over. Time to get going on the spare room of shame. Will post later to let you know how I got on. The two big questions are: can I get it finished today (as in fit to be slept in by visitors) and can I get DD to help without whinging?
Hello and thanks for posting to Tilly, skinty, El, pink poppy, Thistle and Peonie

My only comment on your DD is my contention that bribery is only wrong if you're asking her to do something immoral...0

Good luck Lois with the clearing!!
Nothing wrong with bribery in my books if it helps get the job done!
I would also reward myself with an easter egg when it's finished!0 -
Good Luck in the spare room, you've been gone a while so hope it's progressing well!0

Well, I've made some progress in there. DD has ... err ... helped a little bit. Will report back again later.
(It used to be her room before she decided she'd rather swap to the former spare room. Hence it's full of her chaos. Which is even worse than mine.)

Your filing sounds like mine, do I still need the kids growth chart books from when they were babies? :rotfl:MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0

But it's sod's law if you throw somting away today, you'll need it next week. That's my rationale for keeping everything and I'm sticking to it.0
