Thanks skinty. The day ended up being even more manic than I thought it would be, but went really well. It was a funny day with more meetings than teaching:
First meeting I thought would be OK and actually ended up being really good.
Second meeting (off school premises) I didn't even know about until about 8:30, but also ended up being really good, and included a free lunch as well.
Third meeting I thought was going to be a bit difficult, but actually ended up being uneventful.
I did also do a bit of teaching, but I'm now behind with PPA, so will need to do lots of work today to catch up.catshark88 wrote: »See, I was going to do a chirpy 5 things I'm grateful for, but now I'm just too jealous of your 5p off a litre of petrol.....:rotfl:

On a 50 litre tank, 5p off is a saving of £2.50, so worth having but not worth losing sleep over.
Hello to skinty, PaddyPaws and catshark, and thanks for posting.

Hello Alchemilla
Genuine Dyson hose from actual Dyson company: £5.50 + £3.00 p&p
I am choosing to look at it as mahoosively less money than a new Dyson, and a whole lot more useful than a Dyson with a rip in its hose or a cheapo hose that won't actually fit onto the machine at all.Starting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49

For the little short one that goes underneath where you can't see it? I would have thought £20 would be fair enough for the long stretchy one that's visible when the thing's in use.
Anyway, we live and learn. I can think of more expensive mistakes to make - and indeed more expensive mistakes that I've made in the past.Starting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49

Ah well, I'm sure you can't get those for £8.50. Your ebay purchase was fine!Have finally caught up on diary from begining, thoroughly good read and learnt lots about excel too.

Why thank you! Glad you enjoyed it. Any excel problems, do feel free to ask - I might know the answer, and if i don't, I'll enjoy finding out!
Didn't get back on here last night to put my 5 things on, so here they are. Last night I was grateful for
1) Event DS went to and had a great time
2) Mother-daughter time with DD while DS was out
3) DD beginning to understand that the money supply isn't inexhaustible. She looked round Hobbycraft on her own while I was in the shop next door, and when I came back to find her she told me she'd chosen some things, but "I resisted lots of things, Mum!" :T
4) The two people who didn't bother to pick up their brand match coupons when the Sainsbrys self service till spat them out. That was an extra £1.76 off my shopping, thank you.
5) DD behaving nicely when DS had a friend round for the early evening, leaving the two boys to get on with what they wanted to do instead of endlessly pestering them.Starting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Yes please Lois. Try as I might I can't get the balance on my mortgage spreadsheets to read '0'
.
Ah yes, that one. I'm afraid I've got that problem with my spreadsheet too. I think it must be a bug with excel, because nothing seems to work on it. :rotfl:Starting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49
