Does that make sense? Please let me know if I'm doing something stupid without realising it.
I think you've probably made a major booboo :rotfl:.
I've opened the 123 as well - stunningly quick :T.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Yep, it makes sense to me.
Yesterday I read N@tionwide have a current account paying up to 5% for balances up to £2,500. The rate then drops after the first year. You would be better off putting some of your ISA money in there. Here's the link: http://www.nationwide.co.uk/current_account/flexdirect/default.htm
If you did it this month you could close the account when the rate drops next March and still credit your ISA in the 13/14 financial year.

Hi, just been reading your thread, need to have my dose of MSE every morning!
I have the 123 account but will have some money to move out of a savings account soon when interest rate drops so a big thank you to Peonie for the Nationwide tip :T. Might do that this week just in case they suddenly pull it as the account in question pays 3.1%. Blimey, it's a constant game of money go round isn't it?!
