Looks quite ugly. Their current accounts, Cardcash, and ExpressCash debit cards looks better. I think the Easycash debit card should be redesigned.

Don't know. I would just turn up at the branch, and see what they say. Bring along your ID incase they could let you open it while you are there. Alternatively, you could call the branch to see if you need an appointment or not.

I would recommend Barclays Cash Card though, as it offers a VISA debit card (not Electron), and the charges for DD/SO's are only £8 if they get bounced and stuff like that (some banks charge more than that). If you want to earn interest on your balance, go for RBS/Natwest basic bank accounts, which offer a Solo card.
  • No, you have to make an appointment first, although they were fairly quick with me, phoned on the monday, and had an appointment on the Thursday.

Yorkshire bank don't have direct dial telephone numbers.

Ring the call centre and they will try and transfer you to the branch but they rarely answer the phones in branch. 01419517315

I phoned Customer Services, as Sutton said.

You do get a direct number to the branch, they will give you that once you've opened the account.

They email the branch, and then the branch calls you back with an appointment time ;)
