Hi All,
I want to open a new current account that I can have a debit card for but do not want to use it as my 'main' bank account. It won't have a specified amount going through it each month, I don't want to pay a monthly fee and it doesn't need an overdraft. I am opening it up so that I can keep my online transactions separate from my main bank account. Anyone got any suggestions where to go ?
In true MSE fashion it'd be nice if TCB or Quidco paid me something for opening it up !!!

I too am looking for an answer to the same question, if anyone has any suggestions?0 -
Hey guys, I want to open a bank account and then switch to Halifax, First Direct etc. to get the £100 switching bonus.
I already have a current account with HSBC which I want to keep.
I'm thinking of opening a basic account at Nationwide, for example, for the purpose of switching from...
Do these basic accounts qualify for the switching bonus?0 -

I believe most of the accounts offering opening incentives require certain levels of income to the account and/or transactional requirements such as 2 DDs per month.0 -

Thanks for your reply. I don't really want to switch my account over to a new one as I'm expecting to buy a house in April so don't want to mess about with my account too much before then. I just want a basic account to pay money into every month so ready for my tax bill. Looks like I'll have to settle for no incentives0
