Afternoon all - declaring May at £328.97 - just scraping in my (much reduced, admittedly!) target of £330 :D:D Achieved by using the last of my big Tesc0 DTD vouchers & not whoopsie/ offer shopping excessively! :D The freezer can now be opened again without falling items - and can actually be shut properly (it was taped shut to keep the door closed for weeks!!)

Will set a higher target for June - but will womble on over there to do that! :)

    Hi folks!

Just nipping in to record a last minute grocery spend.

I've just updated my signature to show that I spent £9.10 on groceries from the coooooooop this morning. I'm happy enough to eat vegetarian most the week but picked up DS this morning and realised i hadn't made anything. He doesn't complain about eating veggie meals when he is here, but i know he loves his meat and as i only eat meat with him or when i'm at mums or cooking for mum here, I dont mind at all.

Everything apart from 1 item, was reduced !

Onions (i'm growing some but they aren't big enough to pull yet) £1
    1 x chicken pie £1.69 p reduced to .59p
1 x pack of anugus beef beef burgers 1/2 price now £2.00
    1 x 400g (i think) pack minced beef reduced from£2.25 to £1.25
Bread Rolls ( i do make my own, but bought them instead) £1.69p reduced to .69p
    3 x jars of 1/2 price sacla pesto = £3.57

    Total £9.10

This afternoon i've made 2 meals worth of bolognese with the mince, and i cooked the burgers in the bolognese while it was on the stove (it adds flavour to both the bolognese and the burgers). I've now got two lock n locks full of scrummy bolognese cooling off ready for going in the freezer later...and the burgers have cooled and are refridgerated ready for tea when i shall griddle them with the chopped onions and toast the bread baps. I've just put the pannybreadnaker on to make a nice fresh loaf and my washing is on so it's all go go go!

Will be ready for bed by 6pm :rotfl:..but i rarely go to bed before 11.30pm at night and even then don't go straight to sleep straight away.

I've just dug some oat raisin cookies out of the freezer...i'd only made them yesterday and thought i'd left enough out but DS is enjoying them so i'm happy to let him eat as many as he wants, he is very wirey and needs to gain a bit of weight in my view!

I'm hoping that i dont spend any more money on groceries later, when i take DS back home...but thats when the bigger reductions are LOL! I think i will be too tired to pull up and go in the store by then though :D

I lost count of my budget for May - way over £100 - probably around £200 if I guess

Didn't manage to stick to it for some reason think it was the fact of juggling work, uni and exam and assignments

June budget = £200 to get back on track and off on holiday for a week to so adding more money for this . Aiming to use up some food in the cupboards and freezer so will see how I get on and try and stick to fresh fruit and veg from the shops and stop adding in reduced items

Oops I think I've made a mistake, my total can't be the same for May as April can it. I've only just realised that my signature still says £159.78 - well I know I went over that, but to be honest my receipts got a bit mixed up and I lost track.

I think if it's ok I'll just stick to what I said and concentrate on June.

    Sorry
