No longer a user, goodbye folks. PLEASE delete my account. Thank you0 -
do you need a special video card to use DVI?0

I dont think so I couldn't say 100% it certainly looks like it will take DVI and VGA. For DVI yes you need a special interface most new video cards now have DVI. You can also get a DVI to VGA adaptors which sometimes comes with the new video card but quality does suffer slightly. DVI is best way to go if you can.alric wrote:do you need a special video card to use DVI?

Forgive me for being thick, but can I play my xbox on this monitor, it seems to have something to do with TV's on the spec sheet at amazon.
I need to save some space in my home office.0 -
http://www.x2vga.com/ to connect an XBOX to a monitor (read the FAQ though).0

I bought one of these just over a week ago, it turned up a couple of days later, and I plugged it in to use. After using it for a while and then turn the pc off the screen gradually turned from black to white, bright enough to light the room at night (this was in standby mode, but it also did it if I used the power switch on the front, the only way to turn it off ws to pull the plug)
I gave aria a call about this yesterday and the guy told me that Digimate's on site warranty would cut in after 14 days and if I could "put up with it till then, that would be great". So I thought ok whatever, I dodn't mind who sorts it out, so long as it gets sorted!
Then two hours later the whole screen did a disco strobe effect and started to smell fried. I quickly pulled the plug went to call aria again. but their customer support guys go home at 5pm and it was about half past
So now I'll have to wait till monday and see what they've got to say.
By the way the L-1916D is just the L-1916 with the DVI input. I don't think Amazon do the L-1916D.

Hello all,
See in the amazon reviews----4th one: I quote "Reviewer: L B Phillips from Herts
This is a big screen, I mean really big. It is very clear and very nice to use. It even has the DVi input which was a nice surprise. All required cables were in the box and setup was easy."
So amazon is better.0 -
The contrast ration of 700:1 is one of the best I have ever seen quoted. If so, it must be brilliant.
