    Mortgage-free Glee!
Good Morning All! I did pop back briefly last week, but hope I'm now properly back. Never feel comfortable with DS able to come straight on here if I stay logged on as I don't want him realising I do talk about him and his problems on here, so simpler to just stay logged off for the duration!
Easter hols went pretty well, even with his ex partner joining us all for the past few days. Don't think they'll get back together although he'd love it, but good to see her again and lovely for DGD to have both parents together.
Anyway, I now have two fridges full of oddments so today I must sort that out. Hope food there will be usable long enough for the two of us to eat it! May be some strange combinations ahead!
Also need to get all the beds stripped and washing done and return house to being a childfree zone. I don't like that bit, as I miss LO loads.
Realise I've missed loads of your news recently, but hopw to gradually catch up.
Take care, whatever you're up to today.

Morning everyone, our schools broke up really late so kids not back at school till next Tuesday and then DD2 has a day off on Thursday as her school is used for voting!
OH off to work early this morning so I have been up for a while. Washing is on and bread dough is rising. The weather looks not too good though, hope the washing dries.
Dinner last night was curries made with left over meat from Sundays roast and there was enough left over for OH to take for lunch today, don't know what we are having tonight will have to search the freezer.
DD2 made some great biscuits yesterday, they were normal biscuit recipe but halfway through the cooking she took them out and stuck bits of Easter egg and maltesers in them and then cooked for another 5 mins, they were a great success!
Hope your Dad is feeling better redruby and that you have a better day nic1lou2.
    Have a good day everyone:)

Have to take dd to get some new school shoes , told her to bring them down over the weekend to polish them and she "forgot " to tell me that the sole was beginning to flap:mad:.Its those stupid dolly shoes ggrrr I hate them. She doesnt want them this time she wants plimsoll type things as it is the warmer weather now . She is very apprehensive about going back.We have an appointment on Thursday with her form tutor and the deputy head regarding her wanting to transfer to a different school. So think by the time tomorrow comes she will have worked herself into a right tizz .Will only need to buy some milk and fruit n veg this week after the apology trolley from Lidls,, have wrote a draft letter regarding the manager and will do final copy and post it this morning. Will let you know what happens if I get a reply.
Right to finish cuppa and bung the towels into the wm.Then need to take woofer out as others are all snoring.Take care all, enjoy your day .

Good Morning everyone well a bit overcast at the moment but dry at least. Schools back so I'm off to do the school run shortly with the three youngest DGS.Then home to round up any spare washing that needs doing.I don't like to put the machine on unless its at least three quarters full, seems a waste somehow I must pop to the library this morning as well but no shopping needed really. I could do with some bleach, but its not urgent I will leave it for a couple of days until I need more things (stops temptation of buying stuff that way ) April is nearly gone and we'll soon be into the summer at last It seemed a very long winter this year and I'm glad we are getting some warmer weather for a change.
Right off for a quick cuppa then round to pick the little ones up

Morning all - uolypool - best of luck for the meeting with the school. RR - sorry to hear about your dad, but great news about the radio. Postive vibes to everyone. x

Having spent the best part of the last week away from home in the new (to us) campervan, and yesterday at Castle Howard I have a bit of a mess to clean up. We have good friends arriving on Friday for the weekend - which therefore promises to be great, but I need to move a few mountains before then! Looking forward to it, but not the work so much!! Better get on with it - school run first, then I'll hit the cleaning!!
Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx

March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.

    Morning All,

Much chillier here but still blowy so will try and dry some washing.

DS3 has gone off to school with a cold and a cough but only 3 days this wk and I don't want him to miss GCSE work. He has had a tablet and I am sure he will be ok.

Very OS this wk. Absolutely no spare money so will be eating from fridge and storecupboards. Feeling very guilty as my wage would have come in very handy. DH has very little work in this wk and don't know how we are going to manage. The car repairs have wiped us out. It was a joint decision for me to give up work and we have a much better quality of life, but boy its hard at the minute. Have been looking for something part time but not much around at just now:o

House very tidy after the mass clean up at wkend so will just potter and put some washing away. Back on the low GI wagon as well.

RR it breaks my heart when I hear stories about how people are treated at some hospitals.

    Have a good day all J x

    Morning All ,

RR - that's awful about your Dad - hardly treating him with any urgency kind of defeats the object doesn't it? Hope he's feeling better.

Been up since 4 this morning - so over being pregnant now. Just a couple more weeks and then you can all give me your tips for how to bring bubba on! I reckon the day I turn 38 weeks I'm going to get DH to take me out on his moped over some speed bumps, followed by a madras and perhaps a jog around the block :rotfl:

OS wise I need to do some ironing and maybe do another wash, but we have the obstetrician this afternoon so that's half the day gone.

Have a lovely day, hugs to all xx

    Morning hester & everyone

Not been for a bit, life too busy (boo!):( Probably missed loads, so congrats or hugs as required.:kisses3::grouphug:

DH back to work, DS's off college/nursery until next Tuesday. Money situation starting to look grim now new wage kicking in, so today's jobs include food stocktake, menu planning, spending as little as possible, etc. Still looking for a 2nd or replacement job to boost income, & still not had TC renewals pack, so no idea how much less we'll get this time, assuming we'll lose a fair bit (real worrywart, me!).:D

My edible plants are mostly doing OK, except the parsley I sowed - not germinated, so will have to start again. Also going to sow chives & other herbs today.

My "baby" sis was 40 yesterday & we had a lovely do at her local, lots of friends & family there. :D

A lot cooler here than the last couple of weeks, might get washing dried, but think we may have rain at some point.

Have a good morning all, will pop back later.

    A xo

    Good Morning x

RR - I echo what everybody says regarding hospitals. I recently was admitted and was not fed or watered for 12 hours at which point I self discharged. Disgraceful state of affairs and I know that it was always one of my priorities when I worked on the wards:mad:

Well a quiet day for me. DD has gone to York with her dad as she has an induction day at the college she is hopefully going to. Well that is if she ever gets any revision for her a levels done  Two youngest back to school with Gcses looming. Eldest in his bed and has been giving me grief again:(

My plans are to potter, will organise a quiche for tea and wash. Im going to see Mooloo later as she has a major problem with her garden. It needs clearing as a drug dealer used to live in her house and has left behind the "tools of his trade":eek::eek: As she has a young DGD who likes to play outside its become very urgent. Hopefully I can help her with the phone calls or provide moral support. Its nice to have a break from appointments this week - last week I had 6! I only have one tomorrow and then Im going out for the day with Mooloo.

For those of us who rely on mobility scooters to get around .... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fHUL1ZnLZ-c

    Hugs x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
