Supposed to be doing my BSL homework!!!

I am so frustrated, I am supposed to be tackling my british sign language homework and cant because of problems with Quicktime/flash.

I am extremely untechie and have just been guessing at what to do/googling it....

I was using IE and so far I have uninstalled them and reinstalled, updated but still failing to initialise/plugin error. So installed Firefox and NOTHING, it doesnt show the clip nor say Error etc.

What else can I do?

If you have installed Firefox, you need to install flash for it - go to the Adobe website and install it from there

Done. It asked me to close firefox as it conflicted. Just checked to see if the clips will play and same as before. Nothing.

It does need to close Firefox to complete the Flash installation, that is normal. You could try Google Chrome to get you going - it has flash pre-installed

    Done.

Now it says Missing Plug-in and it closed the browser stating "Data Execution" and the site page still says that the plig-in is Missing

Ok, that's the easy stuff tried, it could be looking for more than just Flash, so now some questions:
    - where are the files you are trying to run - hard drive, dvd, web, etc
    - are there any 'system requirements' with the software that relate to plugins.
    - what operating system do you have.
    - you mentioned Quicktime, so do you have that installed

Firstly though, test your flash here

If your software is just Flash-based then you can download a standalone Flash player from Adobe called Flash Player Projector from here:

    Hello,

I've been offline since Monday as Virgin has had a problem on the network affecting internet and TV services.

The website is http://www.signstation.org and I'm trying to use the BSL dictionary resource which is only available to registered users - the other web videos are playing fine on other parts of the si. I have used it in the past and it always been fine.

Its currently downloading something .... so really hoping it works now :j

    No such luck ;(

"an error occured inside a plug-in contained on this page" followed by "The plug-in failed to initialise properly"

although it did show the videa briefly, then Internet Explorer shut down.

    Thanks

    Jen
