You reused vouchers you had already benefited from, that's fraud.0

Well it would make a very interesting court case then!
This was the conversation I had in Sainsburys:
Me: Do you accept Tesco Clubcard vouchers?
Sainsburys MOS: Yes, we do.
Me: Is there any limit to the amount I can use in a transaction?
Sainsburys MOS: No, you can pay for your whole shop if you like, but we can't give any change if the amount of the vouchers is more than the total.
Me: That's fair enough. I've actually got just over £200 worth, but I've spent them online already, is that OK?
Sainsburys MOS: It's fine. We don't get the money back from Tesco, so it really doesn't make any difference. Sainsburys are hoping to attract Tesco customers, that's why they are doing it.
Me: Well I'll shop here all the time is my shopping is free.
I used my Nectar card, the vouchers had my name on, I paid the rest by credit card. I'm easily traceable - I'm in the phone book & have an unusual surname.
Hardly the actions of a fraudster eh?
Can't quite see a judge convicting me of fraud.0 -

Again, Rubbish, Who has Chas defrauded (please read his post before you reply)...
Regardless of whether the vouchers were used or not, theyre only valid for the person whose name is on them........So Sainsburys know they cant redeem them anyway.........do you understand this...because if you dont, its pointless me going on.
Chas actually told Sainsbury that he had already redeemed his vouchers from Tesco online.......but because Sainsbury were using this as a loss-leader, they didnt care.
If you still cant understand this, or choose still to argue these facts, then its pointless anyone talking to you.
It looks now though, that Sainsbury realise theyve dropped a clanger as the business they expected hasnt materialised, as all those with spent vouchers are simply using them,(and Sainsbury gladly accepted them) rather than buying extra goods ..........Couponing....."every little hurts"

Yes I had posts deleted last week, but since getting an email from Tescos, saying they accepted any form of CC voucher, the posts have been allowed ( I think).....Couponing....."every little hurts"

I have around £500 worth of used tesco clubcard vouchers but sadly no local Sainsburys will accept them. I phoned Sainsburys in Newport but they said a definite NO.
I will however, keep hold of them in the hope that one day it will become nationwide.

Well done to all those who took the initiative and went to Sainsburys and used their CC vouchers
It looks (by an email I received today) that Sainsbury have suspended the offer for the time being....................possibly down to the fact, that the loss-leader didnt bring in the business they had hoped.Couponing....."every little hurts"

Well, it was good while it lasted & who can blame Sainsburys for realising that it wasn't such a great idea?
I have it on very good authority that the Sainsburys 'Accepting Tesco Voucher Trial Team' are being whisked away on a 6 month residential training course called 'Successful Loss Leading for Beginners'.0 -
Even though it's over just wanted to say thankyou to everyone who contributed to this thread and hope some people got some use out of it!

Can I just say that the reason Sainsburys has stopped this offer is probably that every single one of you has rung up CS to see if your store takes them!! The phone calls regarding this mush have increased dramatically causing some1 to look into it! Next time something good like this comes along, try keeping it a little quiet!!! If you just went to your local Sainsbury's CS and asked them politely you would have got the answer YES or NO. Then every1 could carry on using these vouchers, if your store didn't take them you could try another on your travels! There is already a full list of ones that do that I got, after that there was no need to ring again!
Like R&R and everything else this has been ruined by people making a big fuss and causing to much attention to be drawn to this!
WELL DONE!!I'm getting older, and lifes getting harder!:mad:0 -
I think it was originally mentioned (maybe 6 months ago) by the now, imfamous mcdonag, on the(now unfortunately closed) Tesco misprice discussion thread
I say imfamous, as mcdonag was possibly the first of the new breed of RandRers, also a famous CC points wombler.
He often calls in these threads for a look....wouldnt be surprised if he is "couponing to his hearts content", without saying anything....
By the way, he is a Store Detective!!!........
Cheers Leadhead,
Indeed, I am still looking and yes, I am couponing to my hearts content.
I am due over a £1000 worth of vouchers this time round, I am sure I can get someone to accept them. I will let everyone know if successful.
