do they accept tesco coups in sainsburys?

Just rang up Customer Service at HO to confirm Loughborough still taking vouchers. Spoke to Sue who advised me that this offer has been suspended and it is currently under investigation. She said 19 stores were accepting Tesco Vouchers but all stores have been told NOT to accept any Tesco vouchers. She advised me to ring next week to see if the investigation has been concluded.

Apparently an email was sent out this morning from Natalie Townhill to suspend this - apparently because of some 'scam' going on. The Cs that told me this had called me back on Thursday to say that her store was taking them so since OH doesn't work monday I dragged them down there.
Must say was really struggling to find enough stuff to buy that wasn't cheaper in Asda or Tesco's and then was highly embarassed at checkout stood next to OH.
CS even came out to see me and no word of apology just 'no we don't take those any more''
Now would like to know if they can track down all those who used vouchers or not - since they clearly think there is some illegal activity having gone on.

Well they won't have any trouble tracking me down, I used my Nectar card and I have an unusual surname.

What can they do anyway? I asked if I could use them, was told yes. I asked if there was a maximum amount of vouchers I could use & was told no. I even told the member of staff that I'd used them online already. They still accepted them.

to be honest guys if Martin thinks your on dodgy ground I wouldn't be surprised that Sainsburys launch a proper investigation into it. Wombling may be one thing, but using coupons twice over is knowingly fraudulent....especially as it has been queried time and time again...It tempting but It too high a risk IMHO.

We arent talking a few hundred points its a few hundred pounds per person which is much more serious!!

Its not fraud if you take unused coupons to them and they took them, but how were they supposed to know you had already redeemed them? It was good while it lasted but come on, people were spending hundreds of pounds, surely they were worried about the reprocussions?

Received identical e-mail to the one shown above from another CS advisor at HO. I had e-mailed them yesterday and as I had no response this morning I telephoned Head Office as I reported earlier.
