I think it was originally mentioned (maybe 6 months ago) by the now, imfamous mcdonag, on the(now unfortunately closed) Tesco misprice discussion thread

I say imfamous, as mcdonag was possibly the first of the new breed of RandRers, also a famous CC points wombler.

He often calls in these threads for a look....wouldnt be surprised if he is "couponing to his hearts content", without saying anything....

By the way, he is a Store Detective!!!........

I went to Beckton today and they did take the vouchers . . . I phoned in advance to check and phoned the care line to check and both said yes. Spent ages walking round Sainsburys got my things (I had about £60 worth of coupons in total). Got to the till and the checkout assistant said he would only take 1 coupon! So I paid the difference and went to customer services saying that I would return all £90 of items if they didnt take the vouchers. They went away to check with manager and then took all the vouchers! I wish I had more vouchers!

These are the stores closest to me, one being 40 miles ish in one direction the other fifty odd miles in the other, think i will ring grimsby see what they say.
Have you had any luck Tracyburt???

Thanks so much for them email of stores and the first person who tried Stevenage - and everybody else who said go to CS first.

Went to the SG2 store with DS2 is store armed with calculator to add up as we went. Visited CS - they were so friendly, had to ask supervisor and then rang upstairs to the manager. Girl said yes it was ok but maybe only one per visit. We got £48 of shopping and went to till (DS2 then saw the red nose stuff so picked up 3 noses and a can of spray) Got my coupons out, Till op said we don't take them anymore. I explained I had checked and manager called and it would be ok - he called supervisor - she was lovely and told him to take them all £49.50 so really pleased. I have one more £15 which I will try to use at London Colney as I am heading that way this week.

The staff were all great and the produce too - I must say Sainsbury's will be getting some of my shopping budget from now on if I am not couponing. Shame they are not really promoting this and that it is a bit of a hassle, it almost seems like them don't really want to do it.
