taplady was it The Rosary Girls that you bought, if so I really enjoyed it,cracking good read.
A little ironing to do today and a general pottering day ahead I thin.Had a super meal last night and we spolied ourselve with some strawberry cheesecake ,very naughty but delicious all the same hey ho back onto the healthy eating again today.
I didn't sleep to well last night ,kept waking up feeling very hot and uncomfortable so I have dug out the electric fan from the glory hole under the stairs as I hate being too hot.
Hope everyone has a nice day, its certainly been a gorgeous holiday week-end for many of us

Sending Get Well wishes your way Micheroux

Late posting this morning but was up early and been productive. Both cars cleaned inside and out, washing on the line and now just about to iron the washing that dried yesterday oh and chicken for dinner out and defrosting. Am feeling very virtuous at the moment :rotfl:long may it last.

Plans for the rest of the day are - clean bathrooms and interior glass, help DD clean her bedroom :eek:change bedding and wash.

Having roast chicken with all the trimmings for dinner. Am actually looking forward to a few cooler days - will get more done. Only want a few though :D

Have a great Bank Holiday all.x

How are you planning to cook the OH? How long has he been in the freezer - whole or in bits?:rotfl:

    Hi everyone.

Am I the only person who didn't have any chocolate yesterday?:o

Miecherox I hope you're feeling better soon - that sounds most unpleasant!

Sunshinebear I hope the woofer's tummy has settled down now.

Silvermaid I'm with Bitsy - hand MIL a duster and tell her to get cracking! Sadly I never knew my MIL; she departed for the Summerlands a couple of months before I met Mr LW, but from what he's said of her, she'd have never dreamed of doing anything like that.

Mr LW is currently doing the ironing; I have sausage and egg salad to make for dins; we had this yesterday, and Mr LW has requested the same again today. And I hope to get a couple of tasks done that I can't manage without his help.

He's also talking about going for another "walk" later, though this may be a ruse to escape doing the aformentioned tasks!:D

    Have a good day, everyone.

I didn't have any chocolate yesterday either. I'm such a cheapskate and know that Mr T always reduces their eggs way down after Easter, so I will wait and buy some by the end of the week.

    Morning all,

    Miecherox...take care of yourself.

"how are you planning to cook the oh? How long has he been in the freezer - whole or in bits?:rotfl:"

    wondered about that myself!

Definitely cooler here to-day, no matter what I do I can't manage to fill the WM, so no washing to do.

Dinner will be roast left over from yesterday, there are enough spuds left, but think I may have to do some more veg....so difficult!

Going to meet a friend for a cuppa and sarnie in a bit, don't really want to spend any money, would prefer to mess in the garden to-day but I promised her ages ago.

Sile has gone walkabout again...she drives me nuts doing this as my first thought is usually '' she'll be fine'' then I get to the '' I wonder if she's ok'' stage and by the time she comes back I am so anxious that I want to wring her neck! She probably goes to get away from her paranoid owner!!

Had a biro burst in my hand yesterday and have been busy scrubbing 2 fingers in particular ever since, they are at the stage now that I just seem to have mucky finger nails, which I hate, will have to get the bleach out if nothing else works.

My late MIL had many faults but she never commented on how I kept the house, gave OH stick about the garden a couple of times as she was an ace gardener up to the time she was 90, didn't understand why her children weren't all the same.

Hugs to all who are in need or want of one....have a good day

    Marie

No it was The Devil's Garden - I've read The Rosary Girls already so I'm hoping this next one is as good. I've just finished a Stuart Macbride - Dark Blood which was upto his usual excellent standard:T
I've just started a book by Jane Casey(her first) she was recommended to me as an author I might like and its lookign promising. Its called The Missing.
