Well I bought some underwear yest and ended up getting two things. I don't have a decent strapless bra anyway, so got one and then got a basque.. what was i thinking??? it looked so elegant and i couldnt think sensibly anymore. Erm I did spend just over 100 pounds. ouch!!! I am going to have to take a little wheeley case when i go for my fitting!

How was boxfit Jo? Hope everyone else is ok on here. :-)

Over £100 seems reasonable to me Rups, especially if its something you like.

I haven't eaten the cupcake cos they looked too pretty. I was hoping h2b would have one so I could too, but he didn't. Grr. Will need to eat some today otherwise they'll be stale.

Box fit was good. I wasn't as worn out as I thought I would be- although that could have something to do with the fact I didn't push myself too much cos of the knee. The weights seemed really heavy tho... And that has nothing to do with my knee so no excuses why there! Have been bad already this morning tho, forgot breakfast so went to get a coffee (which I am not bothered about) but ended up getting some biscuits as well. Grrrr! But I couldn't go without!

I don't think £100 is unreasonable considering it's for your wedding day! And you can actually wear them again unlike the dress!

    Hi Guys,

Mind if I check in. I think I'll have to try to be a regular on this thread - so you can help me keep on the straight and narrow.

So much for my positive thinking. It worked at lunchtime when we went for a team meal for a pregnant work colleague - had salad and grilled chicken.

But then came home and went to the pub with OH. So feel really bad now. :o

Please help motivate me. I probably have a year to go before I need to get my dress properly fitted (wedding 25th August 2012), but want to achieve so much in that time.

The last 2 months have been a blur after my dad passed away and I have eaten and drunk way too much.

I think my real problem is the booze - no not in that way:rotfl:just that I do like to have a drink every now and then and am not sure what a healthy option would be. Maybe just cut it out completely:(

Anyway, sorry its turned into a much longer post than I thought... but advice, support motivation all very welcome.

ah JO... i forgot to tell you, i saw the ad for the knee scan in the metro again and had cut out the number.. here u go:

they are called AposTherapy (Apostherapy.co.uk) and are based in London. They keep advertising different dates where you can book and go in and get it checked. and the number is: 08456003748. they are a Bupa centre and are based in 53 Mortimer St. W1W 8HR... give them a try. you never know. :-)

Thanks girls! I feel better about the over 100 pounds (think it was 120) as i got a strapless bra and a basque. I had to have it as it kind of took my belly in a bit haha. Hope it looks nice with the dress on Tuesday otherwise i can still return it. how cool?

I went to Harrods then for a look around and i saw Lolas cupcakes there, and nearly bought some but went to Pizza express and had their heavenly cheese cake (canneloni first). bad Rupi. :-(

Have to miss the gym again as need to get some jewellery and i am all set for my fitting on Tuesday. that was a mision and i am spending so much :-(

what are your plans today? x

Not at all! The more the merrier. Sorry to hear about your Dad. Don't be to hard on your self! Life is hard sometimes!

I don't think cutting it out completely would work, because then you just want it more! (we have had several chats on this!) either go for a lower cal option (tesco do low cal wines) or if going out drinking substitue every other drink with orange juice etc. Also have to find a diet that can suit you and you can continue doing, because a year is a long time. I am doing the no s diet, Which is just no seconds, no snacks and no sweets. Except sometimes on days that begin with S! Obviously healthy eating is still needed, but alcohol isn't controlled. I have had a bad week this week, but honestly think I am doing quite well!

    Thanks Jo.

I might give this S diet a go. So am I right in thinking that you can eat 3 meals (healthy) as long as you have no snacks, seconds or sweets in between. But you can at the weekends. Also alcohol can be drunk within reason?

See doesn't take much to confuse me.

Yes! The no sweets usually covers fizzy sugar drinks an puddings, basically anything with added sugar! The idea is you can actually have anything for a meal, as long as it fits on one plate (but obviously the healthier the better!) Weekends are s days so u can, but so are special days (birthdays etc). Alcohol can be drunk, but I you are thinkin of vodka and coke etc it may come under no sweets, by wine & beer are ok. I think the guy who started the no s diet said 2 glasses of wine were fine on an n day!

If you do a quick google search they might explain it better!

sorry about that Hadley. it is hard when you lose someone. i eat out of comfort too esp. when i get upset. :-(

Like Jo mentioned, just swapping it with water or orange juice helps. i love my wine but i know a glass has huge amounts of calories so if i badly need one, i have a large glass. lol otherwise i have vodka, soda and lime and then have a water or just soda and lime and then a vodka.. grrr. why is alcohol so annoying?
