Just weighed myself (once a month), and I have lost a kilogram! Whoo! That's one bag of sugar! I have also lost a cm here and there, but I am aware this may just be down to my bad measuring.

I recently got engaged so decided to check out the weddings board

I've had my eye on this thread for a while and finally decided to jump in! So, would it be ok if I joined you?

We haven't set a date yet (got a few different venues to see so going to base our decision on the availability of the one that we like the best!) but it will be 2012, so I am hoping to lose about 2 stone in the next year or so.

Doing some research into diets at the mo, thinking about doing slimming world perhaps, or just doing my own 'healthy eating' thing. And I'm going to start going to the gym as of next week! eek!

Hi Betty! Of course you can join in! U will probably find we a a very chatty bunch, and all at different stages of the wedding planning too! I have had lots of support if I have done well, but if I have done badly there is no guilt given- we all experience enough of that anyway!
It may seem that we go off topic too, although as stress (ie work!) is related so much to eating issues I think we can justify it!!!!

Well, I got my shapewear but it's going back. I measured the bra as they told me on their website but it's too big. That's probably cause I've got a weird hollow back though, cause every time I've been measured for a bra in the past, they get the size they say and it's massive so I probably should have known better.

The waist cincher. Hmmm. I think I'm the wrong shape tbh. It did give me a tiny waist but seemed to just squish the flesh there down so I had really odd looking and very high up hips, and the boning buckled at the back so I looked like I had backfat. Not a great look, so that's being returned too. Might work if you're not a pear shape with a high waist.

Tried the knickers on under my pants and I'm keeping those. Comfiest tummy control pants I've ever worn.

So, guessing I can't hide behind shapewear too much. Back on the diet on Tuesay. Sigh.

Did zumba for the wii for the first time yesterday and it's a workout. I did the 20 minute class and was sweating and panting, much like the actual zumba class. I'd have done more but the house was sooo hot. It lacked some of the fun and energy from an acutal class though, but it's a pretty good top up.

Too scared to get on the scales.

codemonkey that is sad about the shapewear. :-( I am actually scared that mine fits ok tomorrow when i have my fitting as I did see slight love handles (but my waist was nicely sucked in). i do have a backup plan where i have a normal strapless bra and i will prob have to wear my tummy tucking shorts. lol. whar are we like? i think i need a new pair though. marks good enough u think?
I am pretty nervous about my fitting tomorrow as when i weighed myself, i have put on a bit.. i hate this constant battle with the scales and food. Talking about food, we had our tasting yest, and it was lovely.. :-) i love my food toooo much. sigh.

Betty i did slimming world and it was really good. i just wish i had the patience to go to these things. :-( i wanted to join weight watchers but i left it and thought, let me eat properly, as if i deprive myself of stuff i crave, i will end up being so miserable.. have to be good now.. nothing i can do now esp as fitting is tomorrow, but just be good. :-) *big sigh*

Happy Monday.

I'm off work, but woke up when H2B got up at 6.45 to go to work and it was too hot to go back to sleep, so now I'm just waiting around for a couple of deliveries scheduled for today. One has given me a timeframe of between 7am - 7pm which is not very helpful. Still, never mind. I managed to get sunburned yesterday so I should probably stay out of the sun today. :mad:

Been a total pig over the weekend. The cupcakes are gone (gave some to H2Bs family) but they were sooo good. There was a dominos, a chinese takeaway, a barbecue and lots of crisps.

Being bad again today, then start gyming it and eating healthily tomorrow. My fitting is in about 6 weeks, so I really need to stop messing around now. Plus my tummy is really complaining about all the bad stuff.

damn deliveries. i hate them as well. once they quoted me a time like that and i worked fromhome and then they didnt even turn up!!! i was so mad!

i have been a pig too so lets forget about it and try again. lol.. ohhh i saw that my gym has added zumba at lunch time on Thursday so i have already booked it! i better go! yay. lol. at least you have a day off. ;-) I am already bored. who knows i might be starting new job in 2 weeks or something. hooray.. ;0)

You'll like zumba Rups. It's so fast paced and the music is all sunshiney and happy that you don't really notice you're sweating and out of breath.

Yaay on the new job. What will you be doing?

cant wait as been hearing you all talk about it, i was just waiting for it to come to the gym :-) or get the wii one if it took too long. hehe.

the new job is in the clients services department where i will actually be solving client queries and meeting them too. where iam at the mo, its just so boring. all database work and no chatting allowed etc etc. so i can go and chat to people and learn more, esp my excel skills (which are so rubbish now). :0) they are trying to negotiate me moving there quickly as its internal. :-) cant wait but having been so bored for ages, i hope i can cope with being very busy. haha. cant win.

Sounds good. I can't believe you're not allowed to talk. That would drive me mad. On a good day, all you hear from my team is chatting. On a bad day, all you hear is expletives but at least we're making a noise.
