18 days to go for me, I am starting to crave sweet stuff but I must be strong and think of how great I will feel in my dress if I persevere, and how awful I will feel if I give in and eat crap! I CAN DO IT and so can you daisie7 Feb 2012: 10st7lbs

Just wondering if anyone fancies sharing any healthy yet interesting and tasty meal ideas. If i am trying to lose weight over the next 9 months I don't want to just eat 'diet food' every day, but I find my inventiveness for healthy meals dries up and we just end up eating stir fries, fish and salads!
I know portion control is definitely the main thing for OH and I because what we eat is not naturally too unhealthy (I am allergic to dairy so never anything cheesy or creamy) but I'd still like some ideas of healthy meals......what do you all cook every night?0 -
I basically try n eat vegetarian a lot!
We make vegi chilli using quorn mince etc, n then have a big bowl with a tortilla. It's basically a bowl of (very thick goupy) soup! But obviously tastes a lot better.
We also do roasted med veg on toasted ciabatta- we put a little mozzarella on but you could leave that off.
Fagheetas- either with chicken or fake chicken (quorn)- but portion before you sit down, or it will all go! :rotfl:
We do a fair bit of stir fry too
And soup
Sweet potatoes! Use them like normal potatoes, but they are veg not carb (ok they are slightly carby :rotfl: but MUCH better than normal potatoes!)
I basically try and have veg as the main 'bit' for every evening meal, then add either a meat or carbs, but as a much smaller portion.:T0 -

Only lost 0.5lb this week but it's better than nowt, and I did have a couple of naughty days so :j Another pound and I'll have lost a stone!

Hi Everyone,
haven't posted for a while and must admit haven't caught up on all the posts I've missed yet.
Well lost 0.5lb on Thursday... not much, but its a loss. Not sure, i'll get much more shifted over the next few weeks i.e. by the 12th July. i want to be 8stone again.
But i have given up booze - to the shock of anyone who knows me. And am trying to exercise as much as poss. might be able to shift something.
Keep our fingers crossed fior me everone.0 -
Well done Hadley and Wanchai! Not posted on here for a while because I lost my motivation to do anything to do with weight loss. But, since it was pointed out on the October thread that I had 101 days left till the wedding, I need to really push to lose weight. I figuered I could lose another stone to stone and a half if I'm really good (would like at least a stone). Can you ladies please supply me with some much needed motivation?0

So fed up about my size at the mo. So will try and see what i can do in the 18 days or so I have left. (though at this rate I'll use up all my energy fuming about my mum at the mo). :mad:
You can lose 1.5 stone by October. I know you can.0
