re the toilet thing; I do that too! Glad to know I'm not the only one!
The KFC I indulged in hasn't made too much of a dent in the weight loss thankfully. I did go and exercise pretty well the following day so figured it's cancelled it out. It tasted fantastic too, I love their chips!
Didn't get out of bed early enough to exercise today so will have to go tomorrow and make up for it. Luckily I enjoy it; it's just a pain getting there.0 -
Ok weigh in day!
I was dreading it as I have NOT been good, alcohol & bad food all week.BUT it didn't do any damage! Wahoo! :j Problem is I weighs in hoping to shock mysel into being good... :rotfl: well that didn't really work! :rotfl:
So a STS for me (although dropped .03 of a BMI) so went down a little bit!:T0 -
Well done Jo, I havent weighed my self today, I'll do it over the weekend and give you an update!0

I'm so glad you all do the toilet thing too!
Well I ended up eating very little during the day yesterday, but not for the right reasons. I was at home at lunchtime, had a headache and took an ibuprofen (which I have always taken and never had a problem with) and 10 mins later was having a severe anaphylactic reaction. I stabbed myself with my epipen (which I carry for my food allergies) and called an ambulance...It was all fine in the end but they kept me in for about 10 hrs because I was sevely tachycardic and they couldn't get my heart rate down. Eventually it came down considerably and they let me go home, thank god. Today I feel absolutely battered and for some stupid reason all panicky and tearful - I think because I've always known what I'm allergic to and the thought that suddenly I was allergic to something else that I had no idea about is bl*ody terrifying. I feel scared to touch anything or do anything! Stupid really. But it was the most terrifying experience of my life. I have never had such a severe reaction whilst alone and if I hadn't had my phone right next to me and managed to call the ambulance quite quickly I would have died - it sounds dramatic but it's fact.
Anyway - thst's my exciting news!
I weighed this morning and was the same as yesterday, so I do think I have lost 4lbs this week so that's something to be grateful for anyway! I may have a bit of a 'day off' today as I really feel in need of some comfort food. I'll try not to go too off the rails though as I don't want to ruin the good progress I made this week.
Hope everyone has a good weekend!0 -
 Daisy I hope you're ok, thank goodness you had your phone and epipen near you. Weighing in would have been the last thing on my mind after a reaction like that. Must have been so scary!0

 Daisie that sounds awful! So glad you are OK.
I have been worrying about silly little things, kind of puts things in perspective.
N I think you should relax a bit today, it's the start of the weekend anyway.:T0 -
Thanks guys
I am trying to relax, can't calm down though.
Also slightly worried as at one point one of the nurses asked if I had diabetes because my blood sugar was high. He was the only person who mentioned it though and when I spoke to my sister (who is a doctor) later she said the adrenaline can make it high. The doctor never mentioned it or anything or any of the other 200 nurses I saw....but they were a bit all over the place and I barely saw the same person twice so I suppose it could have been missed. I have no symptoms of diabetes and don't have it in my family or anything....but I suppose being overweight puts me at risk. Ergh! Wondering if I should go to the doctor or just forget it...I kind of would rather not know!0 -
Definitely go to the doctors. It's really not something that you should ignore hoping. Saying that I wouldn't worry too much about it, u just really need to know one way or the other.:T0
-
I'm sure your sister's right, but I would see the doctor just in case.At least they can give you some reassurance about it.0

Have spoken to a doctor and they said the epipen definitely does raise blood sugar as does being in a state of physical shock (I.e. after having an allergic reaction!) I can have a test next time I'm at the doctors but there is no urgency.
Plus, I had full bloods done a couple of months ago when I had all my head problem and that included a diabetes test which came out fine. So I am not going to worry unduly!0
