  • Hadley don't focus on what you wanted to be back months ago, just focus on what is manageable now. I'm about the same height as you and am also getting married in August, I had the best intentions of getting back to just over 8 stone as that's what I was when I met OH. That's long gone now, I'll just get to what I can.

If you managed to lose 1lb a week you'd nearly be at 10stone, a crazy stress week right before you get married and you'll probably drop to just below 10 stone. Don't beat yourself up, your OH asked you to marry him so obviously loves you as you are.

Ae you sticking exactly to your meal plan/diet or are you occasionally slipping? Extra effort now could make all the difference. I'm off to eat my dry turkey salad, would rather it was a meaty mayo sandwich and a bag of crisps, but oh well 11 weeks to go!

    Thanks guys.

You're right, I do need to focus on what is achievable and not my original plan. Just seem to be going round in circles at the moment... lose and then put on. So annoyed and frustrated. :(

Have spent my lunch break looking at recipes on the SW web site and will go shopping after work and go from there. One step at a time.

THanks for the support guys it really helps. :T

I know it is frustrating when you seem to go round in circles but do stick with it Hadley. Looking at some new things you can cook on SW sounds like a good idea as you can try new stuff which is always nice, but still be sticking with the diet. My mum has made some of their no syn or 1 syn cakes and said it was actually really good. Maybe worth a go, but I seem to remember you are more of a savory person?

Sorry to hear that Hadley. :(

LisaJane- last time I weighed in (2 weeks ago) I was 9st5. But have had a bad few weeks, so not weighing in until next week! (couldn't do today, or last week anyway).

Jo I think the last time I weighed that little is when DH and I first got together and I was 14 haha! I know I am never going to be skinny; it is just not my body type but I would like to be slimmer.

Ah really need to be good. Not weighing in today either :o got scuba this weekend, so plenty if exercise, and we r being extra good with food. Been bad last few weeks.
Wanchai is catching up with me at an alarming rate (good for u!) which means I immediately see it as a competition! :rotfl: which I don't want to loose! So keep going Wanchai! :D

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: You're 4.5lbs lighter than me, I am very unlikely to catch up lol. But I will try!!! :D

What weight are you Joanna? I want a bit of competition too! I am curently 9st 9lbs. Would love to get down to about 9 for August but can't see it at the mo...I have no discipline when it comes to food!

Oooh, we're almost exactly the same! Wish that I had a bit longer, I could shift the extra few lbs and be down to 9 stone lol.

Hadley - massive hugs, and glad to see that you are not letting it stop you. If you keep going, you WILL lose weight, I promise. At least you have another 2 months!! I also wanted to be 8.5 stone by my wedding but adjusted my target as time went on. Now I'll be happy to get to 9st 4lbs. That's another 5.5lbs off in 4 weeks, which I know is very doable. Please don't be dreading the fitting or the wedding - I know that's easy to say, as I have been in your shoes. xxxxx

    Em - boo to temptation!!!

    Thanks Guys.

Wanchai - when you had your fitting did they say anything about having to stay the same weight? My fitting is now the 12th July, but wedding not till the 25th August. So I am concious that I have time to loose some more (or in my case, put on) between the fitting and the 2nd fitting - does that make sense? Even if it was a lb a week it would really help.

I had an aborted fitting last Sat (9th), at which we discovered that the dress had cups (that were too effing small! :( ) despite being ordered without! Also a few other problems. I had a slight meltdown and the DM told me to come back next Wed (20th) and get it pinned.

So I haven't actually had a proper fitting yet! But yes, she has told me that I can't lose any more weight after it's been pinned. Hence the mad effort for these 11 days!! But I probably will keep trying to lose more weight even after the fitting, naughty me :o The dress isn't strapless, so it will be fine if I lose another few lbs.

Could you move your fitting back a bit - say, to the end of July? xxx

Again i'm not weigning in this week - I have been cecking my weght on the old bathroom scales, but they are not reliable, but i know i haven't put on any - and hopefully have lost some - will do a weigh in on the wii next week some morning.

My first dress is 6 weeks before the wedding, so i make that the 26th August - which is ten weeks again, and i'm now in serious motivation mode again (despite the buns and cake in work today for someones birthday) and have bought a 10 minute tone up dvd which i will do every night (started last night and its quite good!)

I will go swimming at least once a fortnight (hopefully once a week)
    Zumba every monday
    walking/running twice a week

Aim - lose 10lb in 10 weeks, easily doable (although hopefully more), jsut need to stay motivated (and try and stay of the alcohol too!)
Weight loss challenge, lose 15lb in 6 weeks before Christmas.
