yay!!! feel a bit happier now. was so upset at some kids' behaviour earlier at the station, where they were laughing at a guy with one of those prosthetic legs. i thought how could some kids be so cruel? it has been on my mind all morning. :( do feel much better now thank you ladies. xxxx*big hug*

Rups you have ages before you have to tell work; you legally must have told them by the beginning of the 15th week before the week the baby is due, which ultimately works out at when you are 24 weeks really. But depending how the pregnancy goes you may want to say before that. No worries about going on; we love hearing about it! (or I do and am sure others do too).

Lunch is soup again with carrot, apple, pineapple and yogurt coated blackcurrants. Yummy.

Got ring people coming round again tonight; exciting :) then will just have to decide what to go for...

Rups - because sometimes kids say things we think! And because sometimes they have been brought up badly. And sometimes they have been brought up really well and will join in with their friends because that's what kids do. Don't sweat it, yes they can be cruel, but as a general rule they grow up to be great adults! In fact, most kids are just brilliant when you take the time to get to know them.

You just sound hormonal - it is normal. I found some hollistic books on pregnancy the best. I can't remember which, but they were more about mindset and natural ways to balance hormones. I found they really helped me to understand things. Have a look on amazon for some.

I just quickly googled it and NHS says maximum of 200mg of caffeine (so from coffee, tea, chocolate, coke, energy drinks) So I guess have as much decaff as you want but limit or have none of the caffeinated stuff (apart from chocolate ;)) .

Tea and coffee fine. The rules change all the time, but the key is not to stress if you accidentally eat the wrong thing etc! Basically you need to look after yourself, avoid soft cheese and liver products like pate, unpasturised raw eggs, that kind of things. That said if I really wanted a bit of brie or blue cheese I would have it. If I wanted a glass of wine I would have it etc. My kids are all the picture of health and very bright! I think as long as you are sensible you are gine. I also found I went off things like tea and coffee and weirdly peparami... I also hate fish and had such a heightened sense of smell I couldn't bare to be in the same room as someone eating it! IF you are unsure about what you should eat ask your midwife or gp as the internet is full of gobbledegook. Fell free to ask anything, but i must warn you I'm a bit rubbish when it comes to sticking to 'rules' as I truly believe that a relaxed mum leads to a relaxed baby. All of my friends who followed the rules book to the ltter as so stressed and their babies whinge all the time...

There was something on the BBC the other day on how the amount of caffiene in a standard coffee changes according to brand. I think it's hardly any coffee, but several cups of tea, as you dont actually drink the leaves like you do with instant coffee. The green stuff is best, unlimited as caffiene free. :) well practically, not worth worrying about anyway!
