  • Thanks girls, I'm sure I'll find something I love. I was thinking of not telling the bridal shops the timescale straight away as I don't want them to not show me certain dresses, just in case one of them is 'the one' and I could source it online in a quicker time.

If I do fall in love with one though I will certainly try your idea Em, of asking whether the sample could be altered to fit. Thanks for that.

Rups I can't believe you haven't done a test yet, is the curiousity not killing you? I was 5 days late the month before last and I did three tests, even though I couldn't possibly be pregnant as I'd been working over the other side of the world to my fiance for the last few months. :rotfl:

I'm exactly the same - even though I'm irregular so never really "late".

I think you can alter 2 sizes down.

rups, buy a test on the way home x

I am so relaxed about AF I wouldn't even know if I was late haha. I take the mini pill so it can mean you don't have a visit from AF or that it can happen at different times so I just go with the flow and just hope that I would know if anything weren't what I was expecting. hhmmm maybe not the best policy. Have started to make a note though so I can tell if AF will be visiting at the wedding to see if I can do anything to stop it.

I am sat in reception at work now covering lunch breaks; I really want some choccie bics from the kitchen...

Rups - You mentioned a hoop for your dress. Do you know if all dresses need them? No one has mentioned a hoop to me before and now I am wondering...

Do I need one - Its this dress (and me) Sorry about the size

I am curious but scared too. dont ask why?? its one of those feelings that i had before we got married and you think 'oh no am i?' Of course would love to be.. and am very curious. dont ask what i am waiting for! hehe ok will get it after work! :0)

sample dresses can be altered. mine was a size 16 and luckily it got sorted and it was a tie-back one with a corset so i was stuck in properly. those dresses are prob better if one may think they could lose more or gain slightly just before.

olokia, not all dresses need hoops but mine did as it def made it easier to walk around in my dress as it was A-shaped so it was fuller at the bottom if you know what i mean? if you can have a look at my Fb pictures and see the dress, so i had to have one and it was lovely, as my legs could move about. if you need one you can always have mine :)

A hoop might make it easier with my dress I don't know... I remember when I was trying it on, I had to lift up the dress as I walked but it may have been because I A) had no shoes on and will have heels on the day and B) the dress was a bit long for me as I am quite short.

Maybe I should find my dress alteration person earlier so I can ask and then will have time to get one if I need to. Thanks for the offer of the hoop. I will see what the dress person says

olokia - did they not advise you in the shop? I'm not having one as don't want it too large. Great dress, by the way.
