Morning Everyone,
Welcome Kiim.
All this talk of soup is making me hungry. I bought the SW soup book at the last meeting and can't wait to give it ago. OH not too keen on the idea though - apparently its not a proper meal. My problem is I hate tomatos - which appear to be in most soupsWill have a play and see what lovely healthy meals I can make.
Was going to have to be weighed tonight as Crimbo meal on Thursday (usual fat club night), but as so many of us won't be around on Thurs, looks like its going to have to be postponed.0 -
Think we have homemade veg for t tonight. N we have a big bag of parsnips coming too to make parsnip soup!:T0

H2B also sees soup as not a proper meal... But getting measured for his suit with best man is souring him on. Mostly I think he HAS to get a load of good quality suits before feb when he starts job, n doesn't want to buy one size then loose inches on his stomach, then have too big trousers!:T0

We are having a lot of soup as well. Mostly because it is cheap and we just ordered a £70 goose for Christmas. We just buy any of the chilled soups that are on offer at the time.
Since getting 100g below my plateau on Friday, I have been losing about 100g a day since then so I am hoping that I will start losing weight quickly again until the next plateau.0 -
I just fry onions, garlic etc, add stock then chuck in a load of veg to simmer. I then forget about it, and come back 1/2 hour later, wiz it and wala! (how is that spelt?!!?):T0

I agree that soup is really easy to make. I just chuck it in, using my veg that is going a bit soft, fry it off while the kettle boils and I make stock, put the stock in and leave it to do its thing! lol. OH doesn't like soup so I tend to have it for lunch rather than dinner.0

First time we have had such a long conversation about healthy food!
Maybe we should each provide one soup recipe... And then we can share?!
