Codemonkey, you have to think positive! It is actually true that if u believe you will you are more likely to! (it is not just hippy talk!) think of it like a placebo. Weldone on the four days so far tho! I am doing ok, just wish I cud give up the 2 'reduced fat' rich tea biscuits with tea when I get back from work! None tonight, none tonight......

OMG same. The rest of me im not too fussed about but the chicken fillet bits under the arms and the belly gets me. I hate my belly but hopefully wont have anything remotely even nearly tight or defining around it! I've got bit fat pants but am a bit embarressed about wearing them tomorrow?

I had those pants when i went to try on dresses, and where i bought my dress from, the lady said 'i hope you dont wear those on the day'!!! i need to otherwise my love handles and belly makes it worse!! annoying bits.. I would be sooo much happier if i had a flat belly and nice toned arms!! thats why i force myself to go to body pump! oh the joys! tonight am going to look at those shred dvds and get the basic one! need some fruit now. lol.

Jo you will be fine.. u wont have any, u will not have any! :-)
il be starving by the time i get home after tennis.. its a good thing i am so rubbish at it, so prob wont get a proper work out!

Yup. Weird armpit chicken fillets and a Buddha belly that just won't shift. There is a bit of muscle definition there but its buried under fat. If I can just get my arms to stop looking like Mark Henry's I'd be pleased.

Johanna, don't beat yourself up about the biscuits. I'm sure 2 won't do much harm.

Ahem, i once farted in yoga then got the giggles. The other students were not impressed. Not sure why. It's not like I was asking them to pull my finger.

Hmmm, when he said the only meal restriction was that it had to fit on one plate, I'm not sure he meant a half pizza and chips from the chippy. Whoops. Was awesome though.

well I've just got back from the gym (good!) but got home and had a Sherbet Fountain (bad but lovely!!) And to make it worse, OH has come home with a box of jaffa cakes...codemonkey, you wanna come round for supper??
Johanna - thats looks fat too little...but maybe it's that view that's making me feel fat again
Glad I'm not the only one with the belly problem...I've got the day off tomorrow to go undies shopping as I've got my fitting with Linda on Saturday. Could be pricey as if I do lose weight I'm bound to need a smaller bra! Any recommendations on which are the best big hold-it-all-in knickers? I've heared mixed things about both Spanx and M&S Magic knickers - don't know which to go for!!

Codemonkey, this is the best definition of the Shred dvd I have ever seen, you have such a fab way with words :rotfl:

You seem to have a very healthy & sensible attitude to dieting/ weight loss so I am trying to pick up some tips from you :) I always try and eat something small for lunch but then end up snacking- mainly on rubbish like crisps/biscuits/loads of dried fruit- all afternoon as I'm still hungry. So this week i have been making a proper filling but healthy lunch and I haven't snacked all week so far :j Even though there is a packet of choccy bars and some crisps in my desk drawer! So feeling quite pleased about that, as I'm feeling fuller and it's giving me more energy during the afternoons.

I am pondering having a stab at the no S diet but think I would struggle with not having pudding :o Even if it's just a yoghurt, I would find it hard not to have anything at all. It definitely seems more sensible than some of the anti-carb/ cabbage soup/ starvation diets around though, so I may give it a try.

Shred workout is a Dvd workout with Jillian Michaels. Its a 20ish minute workout based on circuits, so you do weights, cardiovascular and abs with no breaks in between while she shouts about nothing in life being free and jeans shopping. It's hard work and you have to do it everyday but it does work.

Plasters on the inside of your shoes, or new running shoes. Know what you're going through with being surrounded by noms. My colleagues constantly eat yummy things. It's maddening.
