RR "That's your end of the deal - you go and get ready, when you are - well it's on it's way"

    Fr V - "**** (pet name, don't ask too embarassing:o) you OK?

    Me " nope, feeling stupid"

Fr V " Good you can go home now you've learned something new!! Remember the expectation you had as a kid looking forward to Christmas, planning for your birthday, counting down to the holidays?? You got ready, because it's on it's way. Think back to how excited you were - hold onto that, thats the feeling you need to have when thinking about money and men and your future. That's the feeling they are talking about when they talk about resonating your intention - You are on a countdown, because "It's on it's way"

:eek:OMG!!!!!!! You know that old chestnut about when the pupil is ready the teacher will appear??

Looking forward with excitement to a life of financial abundance as oppposed to looking backwards at a terrible financial situation.

Looking forward to meeting my perfect guy -as opposed to looking backwards at absent Dads.

The energy you hold looking at these situations the other way around is completely different ................

.............. that's what they were talking about in "The Secret" - only I couldn't feel it until now!!!!

:cool:and they expect me to be able to sleep tonight?????

    MG

That is so weird, recently I have finally got shot of an ex and at first was quite depressed about the end of things again and resolved to put those thoughts "away" for a while. I started to think about what I wanted regarding relationships and over the last week or so have begun to realise that actually I have a lot to look forward too and even got a bit excited! a la Christmas etc, I mean who knows what is round the corner!

    xx
    Nevertheless she persisted.

Blimey you lot can chat, I need to stop work early in order to catch up with all the posts!

Having an uneventful time atm which is a nice change - I like life pottering along nicely every so often and only 7 more working days till another holiday!

Have got a hospital appt tomorrow to get a physio referral at long last - has only taken a year to get referred and poor physio is going to have a long list to start working on (most of which were caused by ds both before, during and after his birth!) Am weirdly looking forward to it as at least it means I might be able to walk, sit and cough freely in the future ;)

MG - am I being thick - what is your freedom fund?
    Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly
    Emergency fund £1000/£1000
    Savings for big things £9017

Pah, I wrote a long post about your lightbulb moment with the poker friends. In short it was to thank you for the link to Our House and to say that your post re looking forward and the link together reminded me of the days when all we did was look forward with anticipation and excitement, survived on next to nothing (YTS wages) and still managed to go out socialising every night. Because having money wasnt what it was about! Life was there for the taking - oh and to oggle the boys!

I remember those days - was in London as a Student and I remember blagging my way into a Madness Gig in Camden - clothes were more important than food - and booze was more important than clothes:rotfl:. We survived on fresh air and eyeliner ............ it was fabulous, we were fabulous :T Of course I will eny this all if my boys ever ask :rotfl:

MG, what would your ideal man be like? Come on lets have a good old girly "bridget jones type" description of the man of your dreams

NOT Colin Firth :rotfl: sorry love, but you know why:D

................. regulars on this thread know my answer to this one - Gabriel Byrne:kisses3:

    What kind of man??

Well - solvent!! I am so over "saving" anyone
    Taller than me (I'm 5 ft 8")
Dark - which is funny cos I have 2 distinctly Nordic kids
    Loves kids - obviously
    Active,open-minded, ambitious for himself
    Supportive but not wimpy
    Loves travelling
Educated - and comitted to learning
............ and most of all a great sense of Fun.

If I had to choose one other thing - then a man who can dance and wear a tux without wanting to make 007 jokes :D

Its the repayments on my mortgage - got a current account thingie, but looking at how far I had to go was paralysing me.

Now I have set up an automated amount - and I'm aiming to "forget" about it and concentrate on how to create abundance instead.

Sounds ideal, although would also have to be able to work a kettle and make a decent brew (I am an old lady now!)
