Mg You seem to have a way of looking at things which is different and exciting in some way. Your 'ramblings' as you call them are actually very interesting to those who read, and I cannot tell you how many tips, recipes ideas and new ways of looking at things I personally have got from you, so if you started your own blog, wrote a book whatever, I for one would buy it. I think people can generate some income from blogs through links on the page or something, but I am sure more techie minded people would be able to help with that. In the office today, and I'm taking on the suggestion of using positive language, so when anyone asks me how I am, I'm saying 'very well, thank you!' (although I'm not used to it yet, so usually I'm saying 'I'm alright, no, wait, I'm very well!' :rotfl: :rotfl: Getting there!)
Love it! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I can't remember where I read it but to keep positive, if you feel bad, you should reply 'I've felt better.' Just keeping to positive words. I really do rate this theory - but don't always live up to it!
There's lots of stuff I'd like to comment on but I'm dangling my dongle in a field so will be :money: and try and catch up later. But how can you know what you want till you get what you want and you see if you like it?0 -
Morning all. Had a fab time warbling at choir last night, though I am totally shattered today! It doesn't help that hubby is snoring all night at the moment and sounding similar to an athsmatic walrus. Naff all sleep for me last night. Suspect sugar might be a major food group for me today. Along with industrial quantities of tea.
Atmosphere at work is still the same as yesterday. Not entirely sure what was going on, but cowbag arrived back at her desk late in the afternoon and ignored everyone. Same thing this morning. Came in, ignoring everyone. Well, stuff it. I haven't got the energy to bother about her. I have too much work to do.
Plan today is to barrel through my to do list as quick as I can today at work. Tomorrow is a planned CIPFA Portfolio Day so I want to have the decks clear for me to concentrate on it all tomorrow. Tonight at home is going to be housework (oh, shock...horror!) and cooking. Then I am also going to swab the decks at home and then settle down to some crochet, on the sofa, with a passing cat... and possible the telly on. But possibly not as well!
Have a good and positive day everyone. Feel very inspired by Claire and MG today. Keep going ladies, keep going!"A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort"Herm Albright 1876-19440 -

MG in a word YES to all of the above, I'd love to read your blog.
Just read back (God you lot can talk!) and thanks so much for all the good wishes. The interview went really well but not really sure if anything will come of it as there are lots of problems in the store at the minute. Basically the Manager is going on mat leave next month and the Deputy wants the job but is on long term sick so she'll have to put someone in there soon and I'm not free til September. Dont know if she'd put someone in there temp to tide her over/develop them and then give me the job later for 9 months Maternity cover but she'll call next week and let me know what she's thinking. Not chewing my arm off about it as I've got work til Sept/October here but it's an option and was interview practice if nothing else.
Still going to look in the meantime and have a telephone interview with a retail specialist tomorrow after work. Also sent a CV to a contact who's a friend of my current area manager who's asked to see it. She works for another purveyor of very lovely frocks and the jobs in Covent Garden so all exciting!!!!
And as for my gallivanting :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: MG I did laugh at that as while you lot were panicking I was enjoying a £7.95 French Martini in a super fancy famous Glasgow cocktail/champagne establishment  with my mate who had also had an interview. I then headed to my friends for scallops and thai green curry and cuddles from her wee boy. I did the bedtime stories too. Best of both worlds for sure X'The road to a friends house is never long'0 -

Sometimes it's to go to the toilet, sometimes it's because he's in a light sleep cycle and wakes so he freaks out because it's dark (he's frightened of the dark), shouts for me or H, we then either have to swap beds with him or sit in his room til he goes off again. Tend to swap beds as it's easier on us BUT last night he just wouldn't shut up talking
Bedtime for him is a big stress with his ASD, lots of the lovely ladies on the OS Daily were trying to help yesterday, am trying to source a Slumber Milk which is higher in melatonin to try and up his levels.
Have you tried leaving a lampn on in his room over night? so if he wakes hes not completely in the dark? or a night light?Boiler pot £30.92/£10000 -
I think you should definitely do a blog MG, it would be a fab read, a place to host all your diverse interests and a place where you could draw people's attention to the courses/video/e-courses you eventually decide to do. You are also a great writer, which always helps
As the blog grows you can also earn revenue through advertising and affiliate links, but you don't have to worry about that to start with.
Go for it :T0 -
MG: YES! YES! YES! Go for it I'd be interested as I said yesterday.
Just to go philosophical and wonder about the power of the Universe......
I PM you, you reply with mutterings about a blog..... I start getting more positive and the blog idea is growing......:j
Got the housing association surveyor coming this morning I've started jumping upand down about the decent homes act - so fingers crossed and positive vibes please. I'm only asking for efficent heating and my kitchen sorted out.
Must go and clear some of this mess up now so that he can at least get in without falling over my craft stuff, party plans and piles of paper I'm jottting my random thoughts on:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Debt at start of DMP 1/6/09: £2942 - £1942

Morning everyone.
DH in court this morning defending us against a builder who says we owe him about £1800 (his costs doubled from the quote we agreed to and he didnt tell us, and the work doesn't meet building regs requirements so we weren't happy to just fork it over. The worst that can happen is we're ordered to pay it (but we have £0 in savings and a fair bit of debt, so we'd need it in VERY small installments!), but I'm being positive in thinking we have good argements as to why we haven't and the ammount will be at least reduced. It's also charged at 8% from when it was due - where pays 8% interest nowadays?!?!
Claire - could you list one bit of clutter a day on ebay? Old toys, clothes, unwanted presents etc? If you did this for the 100 days I think you'd find you've made over £200m (quite possibly a lot more) towards the boiler even if all you list are used old clothes, more if you have anything of any shred of value.
MrF invited me to the other side last night, DH is at football tonight so I'm looking forward to curling up and having a good read.
My do 5 things a day is going reasonably well. As is trying to have a more positive attitude. No matter how the case goes today we believe it was worth fighting for, we made the best arguement we could, and I'm proud we weren't bullied into handing over money we didn't have for no reason.Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008
